Being from Vancouver Island, and visiting the Mission area, I was not familiar with a good place for a fish & chips lunch. So, driving down Lougheed Hwy. I noticed the WEE CHIPPIE FISH & CHIP restaurant in a small strip plaza. My order of 1 piece Halibut and chips ( French fries of course ) was served hot within 10 minutes. The fries were hot, fresh and not overcooked, and the 2 piece deep fried Halibut in light batter was served with lemon and sauce on the side. Both were excellent and satisfied my craving for a fish and chip dinner for the month of March, under $20. before tip. Try it, I think you’ll like it!

Lovely fish and chips shop with reasonably priced dishes. We ordered the seafood combo with cod as well as the clam chowder bowl. Since they ran out of oysters for the seafood combo, we received a shrimp and a scallop instead. Chips were the fat kind that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The coating for the fish was light and you can really taste the sweetness of the fish inside. The chowder bowl was a bit thin and would’ve enjoyed it more if there were more seafood inside, but it did come with a roll and two butter. At the end, eating this felt like it was too oily and I can really taste the oil flavour, but overall, it was good and worth a visit if you’re looking for English style fish and chips. Their takeout specials are very reasonably priced. I don’t think the eight pieces scallop and chips would be enough to fill up a person because the scallops were the size of a quarter and you’d be eating mostly chips.

We ate at Wee chippies about three years ago when passing through and found it to be very good 10/10. Went back to evening and very very disappointed. The fish was greasy and tasted like it had been fried in old oil. The batter was not quite cooked through. We found a fries, more like potato wedges than fries. Tartar sauce obviously been sitting in the little dishes for sometime and quality was thin and runny. Overall, disappointed and certainly based off tonight’s experience we won’t be back here again.

All you can eat cod & fries is cheaper than 2 pieces – so we went the cheaper route.
Fish was battered but not greasy; and the thick fries were crisp and tasty. I wish it had come with a little dollop of coleslaw – but it didn’t.
We ordered mushy peas on the side which were very tasty .. but a bit chunky. Service was really good.
Overall I would say we will go back

Outstanding food! We have had the fish and chips (Take-out special of 3 piece cod and chips) three times, and it is the best battered and tasting fish in the area, with plenty of chips included.

I don’t normally leave reviews but this place really worth the 5 stars. We drove from Langley and found this on Google. We arrived on Friday around noon time. My experience with fish and chips is that fries are usually soft/soggy but both the batter and fries are fresh and crispy here (which I preferred). The owner is very nice and we feel welcomed. Will be back!

Food is delicious. Service is courteous. Prices are reasonable and the serving portions are great, especially for the price. The fries were thick with a crunchy exterior and a good potato interior. The fry batter for the fish was pretty light and crunchy, didn’t seem too oily to me. Awesome find in Mission BC.

The most fresh and amazing fish and chips! Came here and was surprisingly unexpected. The fish was crispy and not too greasy. The lady was so pleasant and even though she was alone she was making sure every order got out and people got served. If we lived around here we would definitely come back. Will have to hit it up next time we are in town! Thank you for an amazing dinner. We had the all you can eat cod.
