Went there on a Tuesday, their special was tacos. I had a ton of questions for the waitress, she was extremely helpful.I had 3 hard shells (3.00) and a side of chips and salsa. I was incredibly surprised at the amazing flavor of the tacos. They were light, crispy, and for 3.00 I was satisfied. Next time, I probably won’t even order the extra chips. Will return again.

Best Wings in all the land! But besides that, great service and clean atmosphere. We came with our 14 month old grandson so was so happy to have a spacious clean restroom with a baby changing table. When I went to ask for a bag to put his dirty clothes in, they were so kind and accommodating. Even better, a toddler tends to throw things that land under the table. What was nice was that it wasn’t gross under ours when we went under to retrieve them.

Definitely lived up to its reputation as the place with the best wings in town. We got the old bay and the extra spicy jalapeno, and a side of animal fries. The portions were generous, and they paired well with beer and cider. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio, too.

This place used to have great food but when we went today we were very disappointed. They weren’t overly busy when we were in there and our server was incredibly slow and not attentive. There was 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids. My husband and I had bloody Mary’s which were very good, we got mozzarella sticks and the “homemade” chips and salsa for apps, the mozzarella sticks were not cooked long enough they were barely even warm when they were brought to our table. I wouldn’t waste your money on the chips and salsa, the chips don’t at all seem to be homemade and when I questioned the chips being homemade to our server she was kind of snippy and said “well they are” and walked away. I got the pepper jack Philly with fries, the Philly was fine but not a lot of flavor and my French fries were way undercooked and just mush. My husband ordered the jumbo wings and was very disappointed, the wings were the smallest we have ever seen with barely any meat on them…. the sauce cup was bigger than the “jumbo” wings…….for $22 it was a waste. The kids food was fine except for the hair my son pulled out of his cheeseburger. The bathroom floors are disgustingly sticky. Overall we did not have a good experience and wouldn’t recommend the Watering Hole East.

The Watering Hole cares about their customers and want repeat business. Their grilled bone-in wings put them on the map and everything else is building off of that. It’s a very good neighborhood vibe bar and grill and has a laid back atmosphere.

Ordered the medium (12 piece) grilled wings (hot) to split with a friend, and these are some of the best wings I’ve had! They were so juicy, not dried out, cooked perfectly, generous sized portions, and most importantly it tasted amazing – a perfect blend of char, salt, heat and some sort of dry rub. Paired it with bleu cheese and a Dragon Juice IPA

We had a company party there last Friday night and the server was top notch. We had 50 people attend and Alyx did an amazing job keeping up with our needs and was on top of everything. We will definately be back.

The basket was 12.99 sampler platter and the other was suppose to be grilled chicken wings later to be told they can grill. Lil Riskys does great grilled chicken wings. So if you want great chicken wings go to Risky. The watering hole was a great disappointment

Stopped for a drink with a friend and had a great time. Our server was friendly and really helpful with choosing a food item— we went with the Thursday wing special and it was delicious. We were also invited back on Tuesdays for music bingo! Sounds like a fun time and I’ll be making it a point to stop by.

We visited as a group of seven on Wednesday evening, August 20, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Unfortunately, the service we received from our server was disappointing.
I personally ordered two Guinness and closed out my tab around 5:30 pm before leaving. My receipt showed $10.50 for the drinks (before tax and card fees), and the transaction was processed for $11.94 plus the tip I added. Despite that, my coworkers later told me the server claimed I still owed $2 because my card supposedly didn’t cover the full charge—something that made no sense since the tab had already been closed properly, and my card had no issues.
Things didn’t improve for my coworkers who stayed. Several of their bills were inaccurate and needed to be disputed as they closed out, which was both frustrating and time-consuming. On top of that, the server tried to claim an automatic gratuity applied for groups of eight or more. At no point were we an eight-person party—there were seven of us initially, and one wasn’t drinking. After I left, the group was down to six, and although another coworker stopped by later, we were never a group of eight at the same time.
This isn’t the first time we’ve run into questionable billing practices here. A couple of months ago, a coworker had nearly $20 extra added to their bill, which we only caught after reviewing it closely. While that was resolved, experiencing similar issues again raises some serious concerns.
I first addressed my concerns directly with the establishment; however, the manager’s assurances were not fulfilled, and no further communication was received from her.
Overall, it was a frustrating experience that left a bad impression. Between the poor service, confusion with billing, and what feel like misleading charges, it’s hard to recommend this place with confidence.
