If you are looking for the “local spot” in Jax, this is officially it. Visiting from Virginia, I’ve been scouting the coffee scene here, and while there are plenty of decent options, Bold Bean easily secures a spot in my Top 3.
The Atmosphere
The vibe here is exactly what you want from a neighborhood hub. It’s a magnet for everyone—from locals deep in focus to visitors traveling across the state just for a pour-over. Whether you need to escape the “office vibes” to get some work done or just want a cozy corner to people-watch, the atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant.
The Service & Craft
What really sets this place apart is the staff. The baristas are wonderfully eccentric and—more importantly—genuinely passionate about the coffee they’re brewing. It’s rare to find a place where the person behind the counter is just as excited about your drink as you are.

old Bean Coffee Roasters is one of my favorite stops whenever I’m in JAX. The vibe is always welcoming, relaxed, and full of character, making it a perfect place to slow down for a bit. The coffee is consistently excellent smooth, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. Whether you’re meeting someone or just enjoying a quiet moment, Bold Bean delivers every time. Alright so Bold Bean Coffee in Jax Beach, FL was… fine. Not bad, not great, just kinda there ☕
I went in ready to judge them by my go-to drink, the caramel vanilla latte, which is my ultimate test for any coffee shop. Sadly, they don’t carry caramel syrup, which was a total buzzkill They tried to substitute brown sugar for the caramel, but it just didn’t hit the same. Nice effort, but yeah… miss for me.
Food-wise, it was pretty basic. They had a few things like eggs, yogurt parfaits, and some pastries, but nothing really hearty or protein-packed. Just light bites, nothing that screamed “wow.”
To be fair, the place was fairly busy so it clearly hits the mark for a lot of people. For me though, it was just okay. Not bad if you’re in a pinch, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

If your journey goes through the Jacksonville or you stay there for a while you have chance to get real coffee. It really nice and friendly place, with beautiful pieces of art, gorgeous garden flowers and delicious coffee. Just one thing you should consider, mostly there is a long line here. They take online orders and even there aren’t many people inside you can wait 10-15 min. When you are not in a hurry go there and enjoy your coffee. I like my double shot and cortado

Excellent coffee spot! Coffee was smooth and delicious. Bakery items were delicious as well, I came later in the day so there weren’t as many options but the options they still had were amazing. Coffee prices were actually very reasonable. Good seating inside and outside, and this location is like 5min. away from the beach. Loved my first visit! I’ll be back ☺️
