This restaurant had a lovely ambiance, attentive server and great food at reasonable prices. The servings were very generous! The menu was varied between classics and some unusual items, and the wine list was extensive. The lake was visible from almost all tables.

Upon stepping in, you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere similar to a country club lodge, enhanced by stunning ocean views. The staff are friendly, and the food offers comforting, homemade flavours reminiscent of Auntie’s recipes. While not Michelin-level foods, the dishes are genuine and satisfying.
There was a slight concern when the pork was ever so slightly pink inside, but I decided not to make a fuss and ate it anyway, though I was feeling a bit under the weather the next day. Despite that rare hiccup, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and enjoy what this charming place has to offer.

The food, the ambiance and the service was superb
Seating outside is very pleasant during summer days. The menu has 4 vegetarian options and we tried three of them and they were great: margherita pizza, Hummus plate and a salad with goat cheese. The menu also have a vegetarian lasagna.
The local wine was very good as well. The server, Melanie was friendly and attentive.
A highly recommended restaurant to chill, eat and enjoy the lake.

Situated on a stunning point where the Niagara River flows into Lake Ontario. Historic Forts guard each side of the river entrance. The lake is beautiful and on a clear day you can see the high rises of Toronto 30 miles across the lake.
My wife had the lobster roll and I had the prime rib dip. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. Our server Melanie was cute, friendly and very attentive.
Overall the best dining experience we’ve had in NOTL!

The google reviews are mixed. We had a positive experience. We ordered the trout and vegetable lasagna. Both were very good. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I think it’s the only place to eat in NOTL with a beautiful water view. We ate outside on the patio. It was a gorgeous afternoon.

Make a reservation in advance if you wish to dine in. Patio has a great view and you can see Toronto on a clear day. Water taste awful like lake water so go for bottled water here. Service is very good. Patio service starts at 7pm and your order doesn’t get fulfilled until the dinning room completes their orders. Patio is only good for drinks. A little pricy for a golf club, would I eat here again? No, as there are better choices nearby.

On June 29th, my friend and I had lunch on the patio at The Waterfront Restaurant & Lounge in NOTL. I’ve been here many times, my friend has been once before she moved to the area. Great patio, with huge red umbrellas covering outdoor seating, and the only patio in NOTL with a gorgeous view of Lake Ontario. ☀️ ️
For drinks we both had a strawberry Mojito, it was very delicious on a hot/humid day.
I ordered the Soy Ginger Tuna Nacho: marinated Tuna, , crispy wontons, Serrano peppers, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, cilantro, sweet soy ginger sauce, ginger aioli. It was delicious…but way too many nachos and not enough tuna
She had the Prime Rib Sandwich with a . She said it was also delicious.
Great wait staff, very attentive and personable.

We recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately, it fell short on multiple fronts. The food was very average across the board. We started with the steak bites appetizer—which, at $21, was a big letdown. The portion was very small, and several pieces were just chunks of fat, completely inedible. When we gave feedback, we were told that the fat isn’t removed and “that’s how it’s made.” Honestly, a waste of money.
We also ordered pizza for the kids, but it was poorly executed. The cheese topping slid right off with each slice, making it messy and hard for the little ones to eat. Definitely not kid-friendly. The beef pudding looked better than it tasted—fine, but nothing memorable. The roasted chicken was particularly disappointing. It had little to no flavor and was very bland. The texture and smell were off—it resembled boiled chicken that hadn’t been prepared properly, with that unpleasant poultry aroma that’s hard to ignore.
The overall atmosphere didn’t help either. It gives nursing home vibes, while the dining experience is anything but peaceful. A group watching a golf game was yelling and being extremely disruptive, and the restaurant staff did nothing to address it.
All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are far better dining options just down the road.
