Once a month we take a 3-4 day trip up north and are always looking for a place to stop and eat on our way. Tonight we found the Wagon Wheel. Both decided we wanted fried food. We were not disappointed. My husband had chicken fried steak with white gravy and onion rings and a side salad. Salad was cold and crispy with a tasty ranch dressing. Onion rings were amazing. A little sweet and very crunchy! Delicious! The chicken fried steak covered the plate and was very tender!!! I ordered fried catfish and shrimp combo. The shrimp were huge!! Breading perfect!! And the catfish was crunchy but perfect on the inside!! Hot and delicious! Had a baked potato and sautéed vegetables. I never expect vegetables to be tasty, they are usually boiled and mushy. However, these were hot, buttery, a little peppery and perfect texture. If I have any critique it would be the tartar and cocktail could be a bit tastier (tangier). Also unsweet iced tea was fresh and delicious!!! Service was friendly and efficient!! We will be back!

Engaging bar staff. Fried catfish and shrimp was very good and done to perfection. I suggest beer and cocktails, wine selection very limited. We ate at the bar and enjoyed our dinner.

Omg! The food is to die for. Fried pickles are top notch. The only thing I have to say is, the wait is very slow. But the food makes up for it. We spent $60 on 2 people which was a good deal considering the things we got.

I recently visited the Wagon Wheel, and it was a fantastic experience overall. The service was exceptional—our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.
The decor was a standout, immersing us in a charming western ambiance. From the rustic wooden accents to the cowboy-themed memorabilia, it really felt like stepping into a classic Western movie.
As for the food, the steak burger was absolutely delicious. It was cooked perfectly, juicy, and packed with flavor a definite must-try for anyone visiting.
The only drawback was the parking lot. The lines could use a fresh coat of paint for better visibility, and the potholes made navigating a bit tricky. Addressing these issues would make the entire experience flawless.
Overall, I’d highly recommend the Wagon Wheel for its great food, friendly service, and unique atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back if I’m ever in town again.

First time going here so of course was nervous, we went after 6pm so it was pretty empty because everyone was more at the bar area but we enjoyed the quiet. The food was better then we expected, I got the crispy chicken sandwich w/ onion rings and that chicken was perfectly tender and juicy I was shocked cause ive had some dry chicken plenty of times. My husband got the Angus beef chicken fried steak which was huge and he enjoyed the flavor of the breading and it was thick enough that when cut into it did not fall off like other places. Definitely will return.

My family stopped for lunch. We had fried mushrooms that were amazing! The fried pickles was good as well. The chicken fried steak and fried shrimp are yummy!

I am always happy eating here. Sometimes, service can be off, but not today. Always love the Cambodian food. Yea, I said it Cambodian food in a town of less than 6000 people. It is excellent. The Volcano Chicken is my personal favorite here. Best eggrolls from almost anywhere.
