This was a great late evening date with my husband. The service was wonderful, Travis and Ryanne were knowledgeable and willing to answer questions about the menu, as it was our first visit. The food came out piping hot and fresh. The chicken was cooked well and it is clear that they keep their fryer oil filtered and change it often because there was no hint of that bad fried food taste that you get at some chicken spots. The variety of sauces and sides was impressive and they had both Pepsi Zero and Diet Dr. Pepper, which made my husband and I happy. Overall, I would come back to dine here again.
I had the Nashville Hot burger and my husband had chicken tenders and Mac. We tried the hot mess fries, which would be a meal in themselves. We also ordered a waffle sandwich, for dessert. Suffice to say we left full and with a to go box.
The music was a nice 2010-2020 mix and there was a giant wall of TVs playing various content. A clean and well lit spot for sure!
10/10 would recommend!

We drove from Wichita to try The Waffle Bus in Derby after seeing it on TikTok and it was absolutely worth it. The woman at the front counter, Kylie, was the best person they could have chosen to interact with guests. She’s upbeat, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seems to care about giving customers a great experience.
We tried the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich, the Hottie Melt Smash Burger, and the Cheese Fries. Everything was phenomenal, perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and super fresh. Their ranch is definitely house made and the coleslaw was the best I’ve had. Their menu items are highly customizable, which makes it easy to get exactly what you want.
I can’t believe this place wasn’t packed at lunchtime because it deserves to be. They also have lunch specials for $10.99, which is an amazing deal for the quality and portions.
We went back up for dessert and tried the Strawberry Crème Brûlée Waffle and it was absolutely phenomenal. Perfect ending to a perfect meal.
If you’re anywhere near Derby, make the trip. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

I had an amazing experience at Waffle Bus thanks to Ryan and Andrew! Their customer service was outstanding, they were friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect. The restaurant was super clean, which I really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. You can tell they care about both their customers and the quality of the place. Highly recommend!

Walked in and was greeted by a gentleman, but I didnt catch his name. He asked us if it was our first time and he directed us to the kiosk so we could take our time looking. He was very kind and helpful. Answered any questions we had. Food came out less than 5 mins later and it looked Amazing. Everything we ate was delicious. We drove from Park City, KS to come try this place. We were not disappointed. We will be back!

First time trying this place and we were not disappointed! I ordered the hot honey chicken tenders with waffles. And they mean hot! The chicken was crispy and tender, and the waffles were the perfect texture. We will definitely return to check out the ice cream and cereal bar!

We have loved waffle bus but are SOO disappointed in the change of size for a large fry. Pictured is the new LARGE fry to go. Probably not even 1/3rd the size it use to be and only $2 cheaper. If a change is going to be this drastic then it should be advertised. It was such an extremely disappointing to get home and find this when we were expecting a lot more. We already felt nickel and dimed for sauces and water cups being $3 to go. This was just the cherry on top.

Its so freaking delicious!! I ordered 2 tenders and waffles and Jeff ordered the smash burger! Dining area was very clean, staff super friendly and food better than what we expected! And we didnt have to wait long for our food either! We are for sure coming back!!!

Food was delicious. Only downfall is no burger on the kids menu so spent more on my kids food than mine and my girlfriends for getting a regular burger (no cheese) and adding fries and a drink.

We were looking for somewhere new to try and decided to drive about 30 minutes to The Waffle Bus — and I’m glad we did! We got there right at opening, and the first thing we noticed was how clean the place was. The employees greeted us right away and explained how the ordering works, which was helpful. I got the chicken and waffles, and my wife had the hot sauce chicken with the mac and cheese sandwich — it was a bit too spicy for her, and I wasn’t brave enough to try it the food was delicious. Within minutes the place was packed. Great food, great service — we’ll definitely be back!
