Hidden Gem. We research places before we visit but didn’t know about this place until a local told us about it. Best stop of our night. The Bartender was exceptional. The cocktail menu had a Dealers Choice selection. The bartender asked us questions, listened to our likes and dislikes and make us 2 custom cocktails. Both were unique, absolutely fantastic, and even better when he made us perfect duplicates for a 2nd round.

There is no food so 5 stars there. Diverse bar meets high end cocktail options. Clientele is extremely diverse. The speak easy vibe is excellent. This place has so many bottles of everything so ask away. Service was fast and supportive of questions. A great hidden gem.

Four of us tried the “Dealers Choice” and each of us LOVED the drink.
There was one bartender on a Tuesday afternoon, but no one went without a drink and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
Come here if you want to enjoy your drink, not to drink it fast.

Checked out Volstead on a Sunday night and was not disappointed. They were having swing Sunday and there was an instructor teaching swing dancing which was super cute there were quite a few couples participating to my surprise. The bar tenders were so friendly and had great suggestions. The swing night only lasted until 9 I believe then they play their regular music. Very fun night.

Volstead has quickly become one of my favorite spots. The environment is exactly what you want in a bar – welcoming and comfortable with a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile.
The staff really makes the experience. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and clearly takes pride in what they do. You can tell they enjoy being there, which makes a huge difference. Shout out to my bartender Cedes!!

Jazz was the most AMAZING bartender we’ve ever had! This establishment is so relaxed and even being the only two here at the end of the night, it’s he conversation and attention that was given to us speaks VOLUMES. Come visit her. She really is fantastic, and I would recommend visiting this place a million times over. She works here Mondays and Fridays. Come see her.

A friend of mine recently took me to The Volstead, and right away I loved the chill environment they had going on there. They don’t serve food there but the drinks are on point! That said, I wouldn’t have known that if it wasn’t for one of the bartenders (Cede) who went above and beyond for me. I don’t drink often and didn’t really know what to get. She was kind enough to offer me a few options she thought I’d might like, and hit the nail on the head with all 3 drinks I had. One was this dark blood looking drink It was quite tasty! But all in all I would highly recommend trying The Volstead. Next time you’re near by or just looking for something new, cool, and relaxed. If you get lucky and see Cede behind the bar, then know you’re in good hands!

I’ve been coming to The Volstead for years. It’s always been one of my favorite bars in the city and definitely tje most unique. Last visit was yesterday 8/17/24 and even though it felt really cool inside still, the service isn’t what it used to be. We went “early” before the night crowd came in, around 9:45pm. It wasn’t busy at all but several of the bartenders seemed annoyed to be there. They have almost always been super personable and friendly but last night I felt like I was inconveniencing them. Hopefully it was just an off night, but I’ll be back to try again as I used to be a regular there. Still has the same vintage vibes as always, everything was still very clean. Weren’t crazy about the current menu, but that’s just personal preference.

Just pretty let down by the ambience. Visually nice but the bubblegum piped in music and everything just kind of clashed. It felt like a more garden variety bar, with a speakeasy veneer. Also very weird to be dead on a Friday night, felt eerie. On the other hand the staff were nice and the martini was decent. Definitely a millennial hangout; whether that is great or not of course is in the eye of the beholder. Would be better to play on its strengths in its advertising, possibly rebrand to suit its clientele and the general atmosphere that has organically developed. I can only give it two stars because caveat emptor for anyone searching out something with more panache.
