What a great place to see high level, jazz of all types! The venue is perfect for acoustics, and outside of bass and guitar amps played at relative levels, no PA to drown out other notes! The John Christensen Quartet was just great and played some really challenging and fun material!

We went to the beer garden for the tap takeover and it was the perfect blend of great craft beer and food. The nachos with beer cheese and the pretzel were both delicious and geneticist portions.

Great beer selection and OK eats. Beautiful park for this beer garden location! Adults were able to drink, snack and chat – kids were able to enjoy the playground equipment well into the evening, all within eyesight of their parents. Ample parking, great vibe. Will definitely return for more fun and games!

Awesome beer garden. Staff was friendly and the environment was really fun. There is a playground right around the corner within sight for the kids to play. Dog friendly and you couldn’t ask for a better place to have a beer and relax. Nice clean park. Chill on the hill offers free local music/movies etc.. Nice clean safe neighborhood to hang out and relax.

This is practically our summer home. We’re there for the first tap of the season and we’re there to close it down for the fall. We’re there almost at all points in between. Why?
There’s a feel to the place that’s just friendly and welcoming. A beer garden. Why did we ever do away with them. So glad to see them making such a comeback now.
The Humboldt Garden is nice because, while it’s operated by St. Francis Brewery, they feature rotating taps of local craft brews. Because of this you can experience a ton of variety over a season.
The staff is friendly and laid back, the people are (mostly) great to hang around. A lot of families frequent the garden as it’s easy to let the kids play in the park while you enjoy a drink.
The food offerings could be a little better, they used to be tremendous, but took a bit of a dip in quality last year. I’m eager to see what’s offered this season and look forward to many more!

We attended a going away party at the spacious pavilion that was rented for a personal party! It’s not air conditioned, You can open the doors and windows, but it was still quite warm! The facility and bathrooms were very clean. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and freezer. NO HELIUM BALLOONS ALLOWED!

Great summer space for gathering. The outdoor is great and blends nicely in the park. The beer selection is small but the food is actually very good. The Peruvian Empanadas are top notch. Surprisingly good for such a casual outdoorsy place

It would be difficult to improve on this beer garden. Great beer, friendly people, there’s sun or shade, whichever you prefer, and usually very clean. Good music and nice barkeeps.
Updated, 6/15/18: Happy hour prices have doubled this year and they made us buy a glass for the first round. Not good.
