Honestly, it’s hard to know where to start with this store, they have failed on so many levels. How about a (non) comprehensive list:
— Most of the staff don’t know how to fold a sub. They almost always start prepping your sub wrong. They either grab the wrong bread, or start using a footlong when you asked for a 6 inch. More than once we’ve had to ask for subs to be remade because when we unwrapped them they were such a mess it was impossible to eat them unless you wanted to use a fork and knife (see before and after photos below of remade sub with identical ingredients).
— They’re out of half of the ingredients every single time we come by. How do you not have tomatoes or pickles at 12pm on a Tuesday? If you work there, you run across the street to Walmart and BUY SOME TO STOCK UP! I know, mind blown. But of course you don’t do that, because A: you don’t give a *bleep* about this job, and B: the sooner you run out of ingredients, the sooner you can go home to Netflix & Chill.
— They’re often closed way before closing hours. We’ve been there at 4pm and we see the staff inside locking up without any explanation. Again, presumably because nobody wants to work. Sometimes they’re closed VERY early (like 1pm on a Saturday early) and their signs says they’ve run out of bread. BREAD! Literally the one main ingredient of their business!
— Their bathrooms were always so gross, out of toilet paper, sometimes no running hot water – and lately, they have just closed the bathrooms altogether with an “out of order” sign (probably because they’re too lazy to clean and stock them).
— 99% of the workers clearly do not want to be there. They wear casual clothing (not uniforms). Wouldn’t even be bringing this up if the clothes were appropriate for work, but shorts, belly tops, and flip flops are not (nor are they safe work wear) and neither is not wearing gloves when preparing my food.
Shoutout to David who seems to be the only friendly and competent employee there. The couple times he’s helped us he’s done a perfect job with a smile on his face, and with a million apologies for being out of ingredients (betting he doesn’t stay long, cuz there are much better places to work).
— The lines can get ridiculous. We spoke to one of the employees about that: They told us they were extremely behind on prepping subs (we were quoted 30 minutes for two 6 inch subs). They told us that the manager hadn’t show up for her shift (WHAT?!) and they were understaffed and had a bunch of orders they were trying to catch up on.
It is painfully obvious that the owner of this store is either absentee or just doesn’t care about it at all, or this place wouldn’t be falling apart like this. Why bother owning something if you’re not going to run it well and make it successful? Pretty embarrassing.
And with no full-time on-site manager to keep everything running smoothly, it’s no wonder the store is always in chaos and full of angry customers.
Bottom line – Don’t waste your time going over to this location, there are plenty of others that do better. While they may be a bit further from you, trust me, it’s worth your sanity to avoid this poor excuse of a Subway.
Bread was not fully cooked. Felt like it was microwaved
Meat was cold even though I asked for it toasted.
If I’m spending $20 for a sandwich… Please make sure it’s edible
