Seriously, one of the best meals I’ve had out in a while. The place has got it all: nice atmosphere, good cocktails, great food, and friendly service! I happened to be there for Tuesday lasagna night, and wow! Fresh made pasta with wild boar meat in a tomato gravy … was incredible. The shrimp and grits was tasty too. Definitely recommend – and get a reservation for sunset. The view is incredible throughout the restaurant.

Beautiful venue in Duck for a night out! The food was great with a large variety of different kinds. The sunset was absolutely beautiful through the line of windows. And our server hooked me up because I was craving rum and Mountain Dew. Then he mentioned they had Cheerwine. So I had my first ever Cheerwine & Rum beverage. YUM! Highly recommend the Calamari and Poke!

This was our first time visiting The Village Table and Tavern, and I didn’t hate it. I didn’t love it either, but i definitely did not hate it.
First off, our waiter, Ryan, is what made the entire experience great. He was attentive, and he seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. Hats off to Ryan.
Second, the view that you can see from almost anywhere in the restaurant is just gorgeous. It’s such a pretty atmosphere.
We got the goat cheese hush puppies, delicious! The tavern burger was just okay, but the fries were great! And I got nothing but smiles from the kids when it came to the chicken tenders.
All in all, we would probably give this restaurant another try next time we visit the OBX.

Beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views! The calamari and tuna tartar were our favorites, and some of the best we’ve ever had. The shrimp and grits was a little lack luster, but that was our only complaint. Drinks and key lime desert were also good! We would definitely go back!

Date night during the week of July 4th and it was a great spot. The views were stunning and the overall ambiance was fun but nice enough for a date. Loved the goat cheese hushpuppies but the real winner was the crab cake. Absolutely delicious with the creamy succotash. Topped it off with the key lime pie which was perfect for 2 people to share. Definitely would return if back in the OBX

Amazing anniversary dinner. The food was delicious. These are definitely chef crafted meals with planned flavor pallets. The menu is small, which supports the idea that they give a lot of attention to each meal they offer. There is still a wide variety of flavor pallets to choose from across the dishes though. We got the duck and the salmon, which were both phenomenal. I think we saw most of the other meals go to nearby tables and everything looked so good. The staff was all very friendly and our waitress was on point. She made regular check-ins without making us feel rushed and was very good about keeping drinks full. She was also super helpful in answering our questions and making recommendations. To top it all off, the decor is adorable and there is a great view of the water.

Excellent service from Ryan. I was pleased with the service! Great attitude and he made our experience extra fun. I had 1/2 of brined chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Cooked to perfection. My husband had the fish fry and quite tasty.
To top off our experience we experienced another beautiful sunset at 6:24pm.

Always a pleasure to eat here every year while we vacation the final week of the summer!! Food is incredible as well as reasonably priced! Our sunset reservations are not hard to find because their is new additional semi casual area outdoors which is also pet friendly!! Wow! See you next year!!
