The waitress was a high school kid, maybe 18. She had no idea what she was doing, and no one was helping her. We were a party of 7, and she had to leave multiple times when we asked her the simplist of questions, sometimes not returningfor several minutes. Not her fault, she was trying, and we tipped well. She was also the only employee we saw the entire time. Every single dish was disgusting and all but maybe 2 dishes were actually edible. It was just frozen food reheated. We left hungry, so we went to another place. The silverware was filthy with stuck on food, and the plastic cups had grime on the inside, which I didn’t notice until I had drank a few sips. When she came to the table near the end to ask us if we wanted to split the bill, another person in my party explained to her everything that was wrong. He told her none of this would affect her tip (we felt super bad for her). We just wanted to pass on the message to a manager. We all showed her each plate was still full because it really just wasn’t edible. At this point, you’d think a manager would come talk to us, nope. Please talk the advice of these 7 non picky eaters, and never go there. Also, it’s in the middle of a German themed townhouse? community. Winding streets with a million speed bumps. Hope this helps some people. I’d love to hear from a manager or owner please.

Very good German restaurant near Lancaster! I got the Jaeger Schnitzel, and it came with Spaetzle, which was like a egg noodle pasta, and it was both really good and flavorful. My husband got some American dish, and he enjoyed it as well. And the drinks were good and strong. And the soup was delicious. Everything was great here and we’d come back.

Note, it does seem like more like an American pub, with a section of German dishes. There are more non-German dishes than German ones.

Cute little place within the village. Inside and outside seating. Prices very good. A huge selection of food and whatever you like is pretty much on the menu. Clean and the atmosphere is very chill. Nice place to relax a bit for a quick bite

Overall an ok experience. I felt as though we ate here in the off season. This seems like a busy summer area. At first I wasn’t pleased with the waitress, but as time went on she became more pleasant. It seemed like she was overwhelmed at first. The pretzel appetizer was delicious. Especially the dipping mustard! I also ended up putting the rest of it on my “Zog” because the sandwich was crying for a sauce. Otherwise it was delicious. My husband enjoyed his Reuben but said it could have used a little more meat. The best part of my meal was the sugar cookie martini! We definitely would love to return and try other things!

Absolutely a hidden gem. We had the Grilled Rufus and a Reuben and both were top notch. Anita helped us immediately and everything was excellent. Try this place if you’re in the area. Like I said, it’s hidden but worth it. Plus it’s fast. And good.

Absolutely loved this charming restaurant. I felt like I was in Germany! The Schnitzel is outstanding along with the sides. We sat outside and it was beautiful with the big water fountain right infront, like at a German market square. The menue offers a variety of cousins. There is alot to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was served fairly quickly. A must go to when in the area.

I love German cuisine! I’m so grateful to have found this wonderful restaurant. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is friendly, and the place is exceptional clean.
I consider myself a schnitzel expert. The schnitzel served at the Village Haus is as good as my grandmother’s.
I’ll definitely be back soon! Unfortunately, I’m only in PA once a month. If I lived here, this would be my weekly “go to” place.
Thanks for a great experience!

Wow, a great hidden treasure in the middle of a themed loving community. Nice beer selection and huge food selection, not just German food, with specials. The German food selections are authentic and really well prepared. Try the hot German potato salad and the pretzels.
They outdoor seating offers great scenic views of the main square.
The wait service was prompt and polite.
