Start slow but get really busy around 11pm.

I would not recommend The Verve to cater your event. They did a cash bar at my wedding but we gave bracelets to our wedding party so they did not have to pay, we would be given a tab to pay for their drinks after. During the event, the bartenders automatically started pouring doubles early on and charged us for them without being asked or having an agreement with us. There were also drinks on our tab that were unaccounted for. When I tried to discuss my concerns, the owner had me talk to a staff that worked the event. I had a difficult time getting ahold of him. When I was able to with him, I was only met with constant argument and judgement about my “drunk” guests. I tried to be civil and then tried to have a discussion with the owner. She called me and didn’t even pause for a breathe while belittling me and didn’t give me a chance to say a word. I appreciate business standing up for their employees but feel like the customer needs to at least be heard as well. I don’t want to hurt small business but situations like this need to be put out there so potential future customers can be knowledgeable about what they are getting into. Thank you.

Connie continues to hire the absolute worst bartenders possible. Bartenders act like they’re at their own private party; completely unprofessional bartenders who do not take their job or customers seriously. Your bartenders are drinking on the job, and kicking out customers early so they can continue to party with their friends behind locked front doors.

I’m a bartender from Indy. Was invited by some local friends. Gotta say this place beats 90% of the places we have in the city in regards to prices, music, and atmosphere. I do see what people mean when they say the bartenders are rude but being a bartender myself I get it they have a no nonsense attitude, which if you’re dealing with drunk college kids all night that don’t tip, I would too. Great place over all keep up the good work.

Bartenders are awesome, very skillful. Security on Saturdays is plentiful but not very observant and overzealous as they hassle and expel the wrong people, not the overserved and rude instigators. I realize they have a tough job that I respect but there are two sides to every story. They need to talk to the people they kick out instead of just using a heavy hand. Some of us just don’t like our feet stepped on without an acknowledgment , we are not looking to start trouble.
