Absolutely Outstanding!
I had an amazing experience at La Porta! The pizza was nothing short of perfection — the crust was crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and the toppings were fresh, flavorful, and generously applied. You can tell they use quality ingredients and put real care into every pie.
The service was just as impressive. Friendly, fast, and attentive staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambiance is warm and inviting — perfect for a casual night out or a cozy dinner with friends or family.

A really wonderful place. We had their pizzas and their brussels sprouts appitizer and everything was fresh and authentic. Service was attentive and engaging.
They have a full bar there. I had a seasonal drink with egg-nog that was strong and tasty.

As a devoted lover of Italian cuisine, I was eager to try this restaurant and even booked a reservation for my anniversary. Unfortunately, that reservation was canceled the very day of due to a private event an early red flag I chose to overlook. Wanting to give them another chance, I made a new reservation for Valentine’s Day Eve.
The restaurant was moderately busy but appeared severely understaffed. We were promptly seated without menus, and waited over 12 minutes before retrieving our own. Another 10 minutes passed before a server acknowledged us. That alone should have been our cue to leave. During the evening, staff mentioned the presence of a TikTok influencer, which seemed to command more attention than the paying guests. My partner and I ordered the habanero kiwi tequila cocktail, which was so overpoweringly spicy that it felt like drinking liquid peppers neither of us could finish it. Our entrees took over 45 minutes to arrive, and only after asking multiple times did we learn they had misplaced our order.
If you enjoy long waits, minimal service, and a restaurant more focused on social media impressions than genuine hospitality, then this may be your spot. Otherwise, I’d recommend exploring the many other Italian options that truly value their guests.

This was our 1st visit and we were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by many of the staff as soon as we walked in, which felt so welcoming. The manager/owner was friendly and always on top of things in the kitchen. He stopped by occasionally to check on us. Our server was friendly and provided updates on our food in the kitchen. Dessert (beignets with dipping sauces) were delicious! The bathrooms were very clean as well. We will definitely be back!

Just ordered one Napoli pizza for takeout. The sauce is really good and the crust nice and thin but almost medium. It was just before 5:00 so no one there yet. But it was a perfect time to order because one of the business partners was working and he treated me very nicely while I waited for my pizza to bake. The aroma just wafted in my car making it difficult to reach in the box for a slice on the way home. We will be back for sure.

I’ve been a regular of this establishment since their soft open. Lived in Sacramento 15 years and waited for pizza this good! Moved here from the east coast, and lived in NJ (right across from Manhattan) for almost a decade. La Porta is the only place that makes it right and reminds me of home. Chef Aaron takes great care of his establishment and customers. If something isn’t up to standard, he makes it right! Food, customer service, and environment are top notch Anybody hating in the reviews is just that, hating. La Porta elevates pizza to fine dining that Sacramento deserves, and I will be a customer for life.

The chef was very pleasant and informative. The decor and atmosphere is inviting and has a personal feel to it. The tables resemble a marble type tile …I would say it’s a great place to dine… I got a pepperoni pizza and there is a homemade lasagna which was described as fire in taste I would highly recommend this establishment
