The food at the Vault Deli is really good. They have lots of interesting choices made with fresh, quality ingredients. There are plenty of vegetarian options. Service is very friendly, and the atmosphere is pretty cool. Unfortunately, on our last visit they were out of ham, rye bread, and salad greens. Also, all of the tables were empty, but none of them were clean. The water pitcher was almost empty, and there were no cups left. Bathroom also needed attention. Not sure what was going on, but I hope this was just a one-off and they were short-staffed?

Super nice deli with good wine selection, located on a busy corner of the Mason Courthouse Square. The sandwich, salad, and soup offerings are great.
There are a few seats next to the windows but most customers pick up to-go orders. The seating is newer though so maybe they will get more and more in-house dining. They also do catering. Plus, right next door is a delightful bookstore with great gift items and coffee shop with delicious bakery items.

Just a couple days ago, I called and ordered a sandwich from The Vault deli. I was worried that they weren’t going to be able to do that because I had not been able to pay for my food till I went to go pick it up, but they had no problem with it. They had even dropped off food to me around the corner in previous situations where I wasn’t able to walk over in the middle of my work shift. When I tell you, the customer service is always on point and the food has never tasted better than before. It’s always so good and they are always so sweet there. This time, they decided to put a smiley face on the carton of food, and I have never felt so appreciated by somebody who works in customer service. It took maybe two seconds out of their day, but warmed my heart for the whole week. If you need a good sandwich, please go to the vault deli!

I’ve been patronizing The Vault Deli since its opening. The sandwiches there are wonderful as is the coleslaw and potato salad. They use top quality ingredients for their sandwiches and it shows in the final product. One thing I love is the consistency of their output. They also sell craft beers, craft soda and wines.
The negatives are the prices, the speed of service and limited seating on the premises. Prices at The Vault have gone up considerably since Covid as they have at restaurants everywhere. The service is polite and the employees are helpful. Since each order is made to order it takes a little longer to get your food. It is well worth the wait. I’m willing to wait a little longer for great quality. Since I usually get my food to go seating isn’t an issue for me.
The Vault is in an old bank building. The vault is still in the building and is used as a walk in wine area where bottles of wine are displayed for sale. I’m no wine connoisseur but the few bottles I bought there have been great.
Taking everything in to consideration I give The Vault my highest recommendation.
