We were looking forward to a nice dinner out for New Years Eve…well we were so disappointed! Our appetizer was served cold. We waited at least 40 minutes on our entrees(the restaurant was not busy). Order steaks medium rare, they came out well done and not hot. Just was not a good experience at all. The wait staff and manager were all dressed very sloppy. With that beautiful, they should be dressed better.

The food is pretty good! Their tenders are a little small, but they may be the best tasting I’ve had.
Chance (I believe his name is) was the best server I think I’ve had. He’s great, and remembered our kids’ preferences over a month after our first visit.

We had been to this establishment a few times before and not had problems to this magnitude. We placed a drink order and received our mediocre drinks. We placed our food order and waited. While waiting we finished our drinks and was ready for another round. After about 10-12 minutes the runner brought out our food and we asked for them to send our server over (which we had not seen since she brought our 1st drinks). She approached the table and said “what do yall want over here”…. absolutely rude and unacceptable. I asked for a box for my food which came out ice cold and the check. She told us the food was probably cold because they left the door open. She had the manager bring the box over. The young manager was very nice and apologetic. The rude treatment we received from the server is completely unacceptable. The restaurant was not busy so that was not the issue. We watched the other tables sit for an excessive amount of time also. It’s a shame that this establishment has fallen victim to poor employees. We will not be returning nor will we be recommending The Vault to anyone else anymore.

The vault is beautiful on the inside, nice decor. It was a bit cold, but no big deal. The server was very nice, but missed refilling my drink. We did have a larger party though so I understood. The food however was a miss for me. The menu seemed lacking and not what I’d expect from the pictures I’ve seen posted online by the restaurant The decor and the menu just don’t match. And everything lacked flavor. We tried the jalapeno poppers, the salmon bites, truffle fries, sweet potato fries, and the steakhouse burger with the mashed potatoes. The sweet potato fries were great, but that was it. Everything else tasted bland. The serving of the mashed potatoes was also ridiculously small compared to what I would have gotten if I ordered fries instead. I saw shrimp and grits posted in one of the pictures online yet it wasn’t on the menu at all. Maybe that’s only a brunch item but that was disappointing. I think this place needs to decide if it’s going to be upscale or not, a tightening up of the menu, and definitely more seasoned food.

New restaurant in a newly renovated bank building in downtown Milledgeville, GA. Family group of 6 went around 5pm. Quickly seated. Good service good appetizers. Recommend the fried shrimp with a risotto side.

The Vault in Milledgeville has a lot of potential. I tried the burger and it was very good. It was cooked well, seasoned nicely, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The fries were also really good and paired well with the burger. I also ordered a Caesar salad, but it was watery and didn’t have much flavor.
The service was okay. Our server was very nice but not very attentive to the table. Since it’s a new restaurant, I understand they are still figuring things out. I’m hopeful the food and service will become more consistent over time. I would come back to try more items and see how the place develops.
