Stopped by Urban Farmhouse for a quick bite and coffee. The coffee was solid smooth and strong. What really surprised me was the bagel with their homemade cream cheese. Simple, but really good. You can tell they care about the ingredients.

Only downside: they’re clearly understaffed. It took a while to get everything, and you could see the team trying to keep up. If you’re in a rush, maybe not ideal but if you’ve got time, it’s worth it.

I was craving a Saturday lunch spot in the neighborhood, but everything seemed shuttered for the day, so I ended up at Urban Farmhouse. Big letdown. I ordered their Cuban sandwich, but the bread was stale, and the meat was so scant it barely registered. As for the side of potato chips? It looked like they’d scraped the bottom of the bag onto my plate—crumbs galore, easier to scoop with a spoon than munch by hand. Won’t be rushing back.

I don’t normally leave a lot of reviews, so hear me when I tell you that I was beyond shocked at how bad the food was. I’ve lived really close by for years but just never stopped by. Ordered the egg & bacon and the egg & ham sandwiches and they were literally inedible no flavor in literally anything. and not just that it was bland, it was genuinely nasty. the lack of… diversity inside tells you all you need to know about what the food tastes like. we literally tossed them both after 1 bite and left immediately. and for that price? just go literally anywhere else lol

Meh. Sandwich came unassembled, and pricey. Juice smoothie was room temperature, and paper straws feel terrible and feel especially stupid when served with a plastic cup, in a restaurant that doesnt even have an obvious way to recycle the glass bottle beverage I bought (that seemed shaken or was so over carbonated that half of it overflowed when I opened it).

I had a delicious veggie sausage and egg sandwich with fruit for nine bucks. Lots of food and tasty.

Really cute, cozy and relaxed atmosphere with a decent amount of seating. There are only about 4 tables that have outlet access though! The coffee toffee latte was excellent, but to be honest the oatmeal was absolutely not worth it.

Beautiful local café with genuinely friendly employees. I really wanted this to be a hidden gem, but the experience fell short. The wait was nearly 30 minutes—longer than expected, though we decided to stay because we prefer supporting local businesses over big chains. Unfortunately, the coffee (a latte) was disappointing and below average.

It looked like only two employees were handling both food and drinks, which made the café feel noticeably understaffed. It might really help if the owner could bring in more support during busy hours.

Overall: lovely atmosphere, great staff, but very long wait times and mediocre coffee. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

I come here on Sundays and the staff are so very friendly! They greet and acknowledge me when I enter the door which is welcoming and the proper way to treat a guest. Cozy ambience with plenty of seating. Lots of food and snack offerings. Awesome lattes! Recommended and thank you folks!

Despite some other reviews, our experience here was great. The atmosphere was great: light, bright and airy in a cool historic building. The staff were all very kind. Food was very good considering the limited kitchen space they have. It seems like they source high quality bread and other ingredients. We would definitely swing by again next time we’re in Richmond.
