Other bars deserve your money more than here. Charges $7 cover for the worst band playing covers you’ve ever heard. Not only does the cover not make sense for a bar not at capacity but the inconvenience of $2 over a single $5 bill? That’s intentional. High food prices for a menu of 100% frozen food that’s no better than than the Kroger brand frozen food. Men’s room was out of towels, dryers that didn’t turn on and no doors on the stalls. Want to escape the “music”? Better be ok with a hotbox of cigarettes on the patio. Drink somewhere else.

Local spot in Canal that’s very popular. Only been a few times, both packed houses with live music. Servers are good for how busy it is. We had pizza the other night and man it was a disappointment. If you walk into Ugly Mug and Lindsay isn’t your server, just know you could be having a much better night.
Lindsay doesn’t just serve drinks — she hosts the experience. Drinks showed up fast, strong, and exactly right (like she could read my mind… or at least my vibe). She has that rare talent of being hilarious without trying, attentive without hovering, and somehow always there right when you need another round.
The bar was busy, the energy was high, and Lindsay handled it all like an absolute pro. No chaos, no stress — just great service, great banter, and the unmistakable feeling that you’re in very capable hands. If customer service were an Olympic sport, she’d be bringing home gold while cracking jokes.
Ugly Mug is lucky to have her. The drinks hit harder, the laughs came easier, and the night was better solely because Lindsay was behind the bar.
10/10 would sit in her section again. Tip well. Drink responsibly. Pray you get Lindsay.

The line dancing on Tuesdays is always a blast and a guaranteed good time. If you’re looking for live music, this is the spot—they always have great live music on the weekends that really sets a fun, energetic atmosphere.
The place is loaded with entertainment options:
Plenty of pool tables
Dart boards
Keno
Beyond the fun, the food is great and the service is friendly and attentive. It’s a perfect neighborhood spot for dinner, drinks, and some excellent entertainment. Highly recommend checking it out!

Fun spot! Plenty of pool tables to play on and tons of space to hang out with friends. There are TVs to watch sports on and a sound stage that’s filled with live music during weekend nights. The food we got was pretty good although I’m not sure the wings were fresh as claimed. Overall still tasty. Definitely recommend.

Food is more of a 4.5….Great hangout spot. Staff is friendly, food is really good. Food is reasonably priced. When live entertainment is not there is quiet enough to talk but loud enough for people not to overhear.

Cool for pool tables and live music. Shit service, would never recommend going thursday or Monday, 15min to get a beer and the tall domestics are 7 bucks. Unreal. We spend every Saturday at The Ugly Mug watching Buckeye football with the OSU Alumni Club of Fairfield County. I’ve had a different menu item for 5 weeks in a row – a burger, a chicken quesadilla, a Philly cheesesteak, a meatball sub, and a calzone. And their fries are amazing!
All was well-prepared, hot, very tasty. I also can’t recommend the waitstaff and owners highly enough. These folks have only two speeds: fast and faster! The owner Greg is one of the hardest working people I know. And he makes the Ohio State Football games a great experience with the Buckeye Roll at halftime and blaring “Fight the Team” every time our beloved Buckeyes score. The season is halfway over – come out and join us on Saturday afternoons/evenings at the Mug.
Oh forgot to mention they have a great patio and a steady lineup of live bands. What more could you ask for? Just come out already!
