On my way to the White Mountains, I made a pit stop at this BBQ spot. It was conveniently located just a stone’s throw off I-93—no major detour needed, just a quick pull-off for a smokehouse fix. I had my heart set on their prime rib, but it was off the menu that day. So, I just went for the three-meat meal, with chopped brisket, smoked chicken leg, and rib ends.
The chopped brisket came thin, which unfortunately meant most of it was on the dry and overcooked side—seasoned like it was trying to make up for lost juiciness. The rib ends were decent, but nothing to write home about. The smoked chicken leg was the best out of the three—though, let’s be honest, it’s pretty hard to mess that up. As for the sides, the coleslaw and baked beans were great and brought a bit of balance to the BBQ blues.
Not sure this spot is worth going miles out of your way for, but if you’re cruising through the area with a barbecue craving, I recommend giving them a try.

Ordered a full rack of ribs and full plate or brisket. A bit pricey, but we wanted to try it. Looking for a good BBQ place in the area. I knew we were in trouble when we got a whole lot of sauce…. Brisket was tender, but no taste. Ribs were a little tough, but also no taste. Add the sauce, and they both tasted good. Some people like that and there’s a whole “my sauce vs your sauce” BBQ culture. As for me, I normally give very light seasoning and let the heat and meat do the talking. This is not that. Not saying it’s bad, just not my kind of BBQ.

One of the best brisket sandwiches of my adult life. What a great little stop on the way in and out of Meredith! Treat yourself to this authentic TX BBQ joint before the season closes.

I got a half pound of brisket for $28 which seemed pricey to me but wanted to try it. Did my research after which I should of done before and just about any other place I looked at I could of got a pound for the price I paid for a half. The brisket was good but definitely not for the price.

This place is fantastic. I ordered the prime rib meal with cornbread, baked beans, and horseradish sauce. It was all delicious.
They have takeout or dine-in. The seating is outdoors and there’s plenty of room to park. No bathroom but there are restrooms at Dunkin and the gas stations across the street if you need one

As visitors from TX, we were skeptical how good the BBQ could possible be. We were impressed!
Quasi foodtruck setup, so it’s weather dependent.

Saw this place driving by on the side of the road. Only got the brisket sandwich with some potato salad but it was enough to write a 5-star review about. The brisket was amazing: good flavor and smokiness to it.
