My partner and I went to The Top Steakhouse to celebrate our anniversary, and it was nothing short of a memorable experience. The atmosphere, live music, service — and the FOOD? Incredible. From the appetizer to the entrée, everything was absolutely delicious. My partner ordered the surf and turf with the porterhouse, and I had the ribeye — juicy, flavorful, and hot! The lobster tail was perfectly seasoned with a mix of sweet and savory.

Kevin, our waiter, was wonderfully attentive and informative about our options, even surprising us with a sweet treat to celebrate our special occasion. 1000/10 — we’ll definitely be back!

Food was delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly and it was excellent quality beef. Drinks were well-made and did not skimp on the alcohol. Service was exceptionally slow, though it could have been due to coming during restaurant week. Also had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time for the table to be ready.

Went to check out to see what all the buzz was about. Can definitely say it has quite the nice atmosphere. Love pianist by the bar inside and a very comfortable shaded patio outside.

Quickly got a table and the portions on all the food was very generous. Had enough leftovers for another meal later. Onion rings were biggest I’ve even seen and had a perfect crunch to them. The steak was very thick and the truffle butter was very flavorful.

Concerns were twofold. Firstly the staffing was a bit shorthanded, they only had one waiter for the entire outdoor patio, so wait times were a bit longer than expected. However. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly when he was at the table so that definitely helped.

Second is that the steak was cooked incorrectly at first. The waiter confirmed I asked for medium rare but it was brought out blue rare. He apologized and said it was a known issue with the ticketing system, which was a bit of a letdown they didn’t take particular care to avoid this happening. The table next to me also had the same issue.

He did get it cooked correctly and comped me a desert for the trouble so he did the best he could with a bad situation.

I visited The Top Steak House yesterday on my birthday. We arrived at 4 PM thinking we could sit at the bar until 5 PM until our reservation time. The kitchen opens at 5 also, I believe.
Apparently when you schedule your reservation it’s just to see if there’s any availabilities and they’ll notify you if there are any. We didn’t know that. They found a way to squeeze us in anyway and allowed us to sit at the bar until our table was ready. *I was happy because it was my birthday and didn’t want to be disappointed*
At the bar we had the pleasure of being serviced by a very pleasant and polite young man named Zach or is it Zack ‍♂️ idk, either way he made us fee very welcomed, comfortable even, because
The Top Steak House has a very upscale yet old school feel. I couldn’t help but get the feeling that this restaurant/bar had a “gangster/mafia” undertone. Zach confirmed my suspension that The Top Steak House had possibly had people of such nature patronize their establishment back in the day.
The lights are low and there’s music like Frank Sinatra playing over the PA system.
My friend ordered a martini I believe and I had a Manhattan. The drinks aren’t cheap but I believe my friends fell under the happy hour prices. Nevertheless we were not disappointed and they definitely packed a punch! ‍♂️
Zach asked us if we would care to look at the menus while we waited. Ironically my friend had just said something to me about seeing what food that they had to offer.
We were informed that they had a special menu that they only have one week out of the year in January and that it happened to be the week we decided to visit.
Before we could even finish our cocktails, our table was ready and we were sat in the section directly behind or is it in front of the bar ‍♂️
The Top Steak House isn’t an extremely big restaurant and a lot of the seating is up close and personal.
We were greeted by our server Amy, who was also very kind and helpful.
I let her know that it was my birthday and that it was also our very first time there. She welcomed us and took her time to explain the different sections of the menu and what they had to offer.
She allowed us time to browse while she went to go get us some bread and butter which was absolutely amazing.
My friend ordered a steak and baked potato and I ordered their full rack of ribs that came with two sides. I ordered their squash medley that came with zucchini and red onions and fresh cut French fries. I also ordered their Top Mac and Cheese which we shared.
My friend had a salad that was unbelievably delicious. I know this because she shared some of it with me.
Everything was beyond delicious.
Amy gave us superior service and also gave me a complimentary Creme Brulee for my birthday which was out of this world!
Not only was Amy one of the best experiences about going to The Top Steak House she was also Zachs mother.
I’d definitely recommend
The Top Steak House to anyone who had a couple of extra dollars to spare on an amazingly intimate dining experience.

Wait staff was 5star attentive and respected our table conversation while still being friendly.
I give the chef my Huge complements! Everything from the salad to the steak and seasonal sides were Right on Point!!!

Went here for my birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. When you first pull up, the outside doesn’t exactly scream “fine dining,” but as soon as you walk in, it’s like stepping into a completely different world, something straight out of the 1950s. The ambiance is warm, nostalgic, and full of character.
We walked through the restaurant and passed by three unique bar areas; one being a piano bar, another inside (can’t remember the name), and the third, where we sat, was the patio bar. The patio had such a relaxed, inviting vibe, it felt like a little hidden gem.
The food? Absolutely incredible. Every bite was spot on. But what really made the night stand out was the service, friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.
I was beyond impressed with every aspect of this place and can’t wait to come back. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the Columbus area.

I visited on the recommendation of David (a talented friend moreover chef) and I’m so grateful I did. Knowing the passion he brings to the kitchen made me even more excited to come in and the experience did not disappoint. This dinner was meant to make up for spending my birthday stuck at home during the storm, and it turned out to be more special than I could have hoped for.

Even though it was Restaurant Week, we ordered from the regular menu and I’m so glad we did. The ribeye was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. You can truly taste the care behind the food as we got a bit of everything.

Layla, our bartender, was amazing and made the night even better with her great drinks and warm, welcoming energy. She’s made a repeat guest out of me with her drinks.

The hospitality and atmosphere were exceptional overall. Thank you to the entire team for turning my belated birthday into such a memorable evening. Truly you all did great:)

Hands down the best dining experiences we’ve had. Every time.

From the moment we walked in, everything felt intentional and welcoming. The service was exceptional without ever feeling stiff or rushed. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely wanted us to have a great night.

The steak was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and easily one of the best cuts I’ve ever had. Every bite was rich, tender, and exactly what you hope for when you go to a top-tier steakhouse. The sides were just as impressive, and the drinks were crafted thoughtfully, not just poured.

What really sets this place apart is the consistency. Food, service, atmosphere, all of it worked together seamlessly. It felt like a special occasion restaurant that still manages to be comfortable and approachable.

Worth every dollar. We’ll absolutely be back and will be recommending this place to anyone looking for an exceptional steakhouse experience

The food was amazing! We ordered mussels for apps. The sauce in it was smooth, creamy, and well paired with the mussels. For our entree, we had a 20 oz ribeye and the rack of lamb. Chef’s kiss Cooked to perfection (both med rare). Very tender and flavorful. They also offered a free choice of dessert for my partner’s birthday. Five star for food! The only reason why I gave a four star for the service was because our server didn’t pack all of our leftovers for us. She was great! But she forgot to give us our leftover mussels. We just assumed it was in our bag with our other leftovers. When you spend that much money, you expect top notch service. My reasoning for the four star atmosphere was because the booth tables are really tiny. We were sat down near the bar. It was loud, but it didn’t bother us. If the tables were bigger, our server wouldn’t have to remove our apps to make room for our entrees, and maybe she wouldn’t have forgotten our food when we left lol. That’s it! Other than that, the experience was great! We loved every other bit of it! Would definitely go again, and I’d already recommended it to my siblings for date nights.
