Met a couple friends for breakfast on a Friday morning. I’ve heard of The Toasted Yolk but had never tried it. Luckily I saw some great reviews from fellow Yelper’s.
I was impressed with the inside. Nice interior and very clean. They weren’t very busy but it was a weekday morning. Carolina was our server and was awesome! Extremely friendly and always checking on us.
Ordered the Cali fresh omelette for a healthy choice. Grits was my side that I picked. I was quite happy with both. Cooked well and had good taste. I would definitely come back here.

Stopped by on a whim and wasn’t disappointed! I started off tasting the basic breakfast. Eggs were cooked perfect! Usually when I ask for over medium I get sunny side up or a hard fry never in between. The star of the show was the shrimp and grits! Also, Sandy’s service was amazing she has a very pleasant personality and it was great having her take care of me.

Plenty of parking. I love a good eggs Benedict but this was 3 stars and poached was more over medium not running like I’m used to for poached eggs especially for eggs Benedict though salmon was flavorful. Portion size is huge for pancakes and should be shared. This is more a 3.5 stars for me will try again but something else. Standard fare taste nothing outstanding on my end. OJ and Cranberry is boxed commercialized.

The star of the show was definitely the banana pepper appetizer super flavorful paired Nicely with the spicy ranch and the portion was huge. We couldn’t even finish it!
I had the chicken fried steak, which was tender enough to cut with just a spoon and fork. The sausage gravy was good, but without the gravy it was a little bland for my taste. But my wife loved it so it’s still a win! The hashbrowns were delicious, and the eggs I ordered over medium were cooked perfectly.
I also tried the Reuben with sauerkraut on the side. It had a great sauce, and the pastrami was juicy and full of flavor.
Service was excellent the staff was friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely come back, especially to try the chicken sandwich next time

We came on a Sunday around 1pm and were seated almost immediately. I believe both the manager and hostess greeted us as we walked in. The cafe was very cozy! Our server was super sweet and she gave us some recommendations. We got a coffee and then I ordered shrimp and grits and I have to say it’s a pretty hefty portion (and it was delicious)! My bf got the Reuben sandwich and wild rice soup which he also enjoyed. We shared a granola apple French toast which tasted as you would expect! Overall, we enjoyed the brunch!

Really cute restaurant with brightly colored walls and decor. I was excited to try The Toasted Yolk Cafe because they offer multiple flavors of Mimosas. I chose strawberry and it was ok. Not bad, not great- just ok. This was the theme of my visit . Nothing really stood out. Waffle wasn’t buttery.

Overall a good place to grab lunch. We were visiting for the weekend and wanted some breakfast and it around the corner from the hotel. Their hash brown casserole was good and made with cream cheese which I’m not a fan of but I still at it. Yaaaay me!!! She had the shrimp and grits. The chicken, biscuit, egg, and gravy was a nice mixture. The atmosphere and service was great as well.

Sitting in a booth, waiting on our food, and wanted to leave a review strictly on the quality of service!!! We were greeted outside with the manager holding the door open for us, we were immediately sat, and our server, Aleny, is the kindest! I came in with a coffee that wasn’t great, and she offered to take it to the back and put their own syrup in it! Usually, places will tell you no outside food or drinks so this was very refreshing! SO thoughtful and so appreciated. Everyone is so nice and the menu is incredible. If you’re in Addison, be sure to check out the Toasted Yolk!!

Ordered the Two Eggs and a Cake, and Belgian Waffle. The food came out quickly, even with a large party ordering before us. Everything was made well. The very large single pancake was a little too doughy for my preference, but it was still good. I’ve never had hasbrown casserole before. I really liked it. The waffle was very good. I definitely preferred the waffle over the pancake. The sausage was very good too. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was very clean.
