Covington, La residents…a heads up ….don’t sleep on this place!!!!
As soon as you walk in, you immediately feel the warmth and fun in the atmosphere.
Ms. Doreen meeting you at the door with a friendly smile, Ms. Christie delivering positivity table side, and the owners – Tammy & Greg – where you can see the love and dedication they put into their baby.
The bathrooms are spotless. The dining room is so clean and ZERO dust overhead. Super cute and great music selection.
I am soooo posting photos ….sorry I dug into my food first, lol!
Now the food…ahhhh, the food! It’s enough to have your great grandma slap you! The build your own omlet, brisket scramble …ooh lal la!
Seriously though, you need to come here!!!!!
Thank you for an incredible first time visit. Thank you for making us feel like family.

Nice little eatery that serves breakfast foods. Staff was pleasant and the place was clean. Although it said busier than usual, there was no wait. Hashbrown casserole was very cheesy. Brisket tacos were ok, very filling and overflowing. French toast was great. Blueberry donuts were fantastic with the compote.

The lunch menu is simple and straightforward. The breakfast menu seems a little more variety and pizzazz. I had lunch which was nice. I really enjoyed my chicken salad. Service was extremely nice. The dining area is clean and plain but roomy and comfortable.

Stopped by en route from Gulf Shores to Dallas. All our party ordered from the breakfast menu. It was a busy Sunday afternoon but the staff was hustling and we were seated outside promptly and our food arrived timely. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Standouts were the French toast, pancakes and pork chops. Pork chops were perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and very juicy. Owners were both on site and checking with guests regularly. We only pass through Covington on our annual trip to the Gulf but next time through we’ll definitely stop in again. One tidbit, not many ordinary humans could down a full order of 3 pancakes. They were delicious, but they are roughly 10” in diameter and 3/4” thick. You can order them individually.

Darcy has been working a side job as my front desk receptionist. She decided to take me for brunch at The Toasted Yolk Cafe. Not quite sure how that works since I pay her out of pocket…
Breakfast quesadilla was yummy and very filling! They made her some scrambled eggs and I enjoyed a nice pineapple mimosa. The hasbrowns were so yummy, would definitely be back for more of those!
The patio is so nice! And very large. They have dog bowls for your pups and the fans kept everything cool. Tara was great and super helpful as I will always default to pancakes for breakfast, but she got me out my comfort zone!

Went in Monday around 9:30am – quickly seated. Very friendly staff. Ordered the Brisket scramble & it was delicious. Hubby got the biscuits & sausage gravy. The hash browns are a casserole so they are softer than I expected- I prefer them crispier.

My first introduction to Toasted Yolk was in Biloxi and it was amazing. However, the Covington location was such a disappointment. Our server was great but the food was opposite of that. The grits weren’t good and the serving size was 1/3 of what we had in Biloxi. The pancake was on a narrow plate and so much was hanging off. I’m 100% certain that the server touched it while bringing it to the table. My entree, the Brisket Scramble, both looked and tasted terrible. It came with the tiniest piece of hash brown casserole. This location definitely has a lot to figure out still.

Delicious food, excellent service, and a comfortable yet energetic atmosphere. The portion sizes are generous, so come hungry! Highly recommend the Big Ben omelette with added guacamole and the grits as a side.
Celiacs rejoice, while this menu warns of cross contamination, I experienced zero issues. Staff were knowledgeable and understanding. Our server, Raychel, helped us navigate the menu to a wonderful and incident feee brunch. This place goes on the comeback soon list for us!
I hope to try one of their sandwiches next time. They looked fantastic. No food pics because it smelled so good that we dug right in. I left my purse at the table and our waitress was kind enough to chase me into the parking lot. Honest folks, and so very friendly. A comfortable and fun dining experience.

I got the pancakes (2) & scrambled eggs, three slices of bacon crispy and a bowl of grits. Let me tell you. Best place for the price. Just $14.99 for meal not counting the lg chocolate milk.

1st time here in the covington location. Didn’t start off well. The hostess wasn’t nice or inviting at all. Had a bad taste on my mouth from the get go. My buddy, girlfriend and I decided to stay. My girlfriend came in later and she said the hostess was not pleasant as well. Atmosphere was good, our server was great, and the food was in between good and great. Hashbrown casserole looked and tasted old. Rest of food was really good except for the temperature
Wasn’t cold, but wasn’t hot, right there in the middle. Staff was smiling. For three people to eat and had waters for drinks, not bad $49. Will definitely go back and see if the hostess is having a better day. Remember? 1st impressions are very important and goes along way!! See u guys soon
