Horrible. Ordered biscuits and gravy ( normally a safe bet since it’s near impossible to mess that up )
add to that the eggs that go with it were brought out first and all the food was cold.
Manager tried to give me the excuse that it’s because it’s cold outside and the door keeps opening and closing. Really?
I worked in the restaurant industry for years when I was younger so I know that should not be even a factor.
Then still have to pay $27.86 for it!! Never again!!
WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND. Don’t want food poisoning by eating cold food ESPECIALLY GRAVY AND EGGS!!
I will say that Alicia our waitress was great.
The manager was very unprofessional, I wrote a note on the ticket it seemed a little steep to be charged $27.86 for cold food, and as we stood up I happened to look in her direction and gives me a thumbs up as she balled up the receipt and threw it in the trash. Such childish behavior from a grown woman and especially coming from a manager. Wow .

First time experience here while visiting college station with my significant other and I. For a busy Sunday morning (we got on the waitlist via yelp) we were seated immediately. Our waitress was attentive. We ordered a mock-tail(10/10) very fresh and sweet tea (10/10) not too sweet. My significant other had the patty melt with fries (8/10) the ranch was really good we also had a side of turkey sausage patties . I ordered the creole omelette however when i cut into it , it was super watery i did not end up finishing it and lacked alot of flavor and depth( ). But the hashbrowns casserole is a must you can add additional toppings to it as well, the biscuit was nice and soft not dry at all. Overall im sure they have some other great options. We would maybe be back to try other options. The establishment is nice and friendly with a family oriented atmosphere. Overall (3/5) .

Everything’s definitely big in Texas! First time at the Toasted Yolk, ordered the chicken fried steak with sweet potato fries and their opened egg Benedict. Loved the portions! If you’ve ever been to an Urban Egg, this place will remind you of that!

We ate lunch at Toasted Yolk in College Station and ate more food than we should have because it was delicious. My husband had the enormous shrimp and cheese grits. They were good with just a little spice to them. I had half a grill cheese sandwich and a bowl of chili. The chili was tasty, although it did contain beans, but it was smooth and filling. The grill cheese was definitely melty. Dakota was a great server and very attentive, even bringing us drinks to go and putting up with us. Over all great experience.

Had a great experience at The Toasted Yolk! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. What really made our visit stand out was our server, Dakota—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Dakota made sure everything was perfect and checked in just the right amount. Excellent service and a great meal overall. We’ll definitely be back!

We stopped by The Toasted Yolk for Sunday breakfast and were surprised to find it not too busy—likely thanks to summer break in this college town. The service was excellent from start to finish: friendly, fast, and welcoming.
Food-wise, it was a mixed bag. The churro cake donut was sweet and satisfying, a solid treat for a sweet tooth. The shrimp and grits—marked as a signature dish—lived up to the label. The grits were flavorful and cheesy, the shrimp plump and well-seasoned, and the large crispy chip added a nice texture. Unfortunately, the Southern Fried Arnold Benedict was a letdown. The muffin tasted store-bought, the chicken was overly breaded and bland, and the whole dish felt too heavy. The hashbrown casserole on the side didn’t help—soft, cheesy, and oddly sweet, it came off more like potato mac and cheese than hashbrowns. I even reached for the table hot sauce to cut through it, but the sauce tasted stale.(I checked the bottle tho it is not experied, so I don’t know what happened)
Overall, while the service was truly top-notch, the food didn’t impress me enough to want to return.

Very good overall experience. Great service, good food and interesting choices.
I actually ate here twice as we were staying across the street at the Drury Inn. I didn’t realize it was a chain, but it was still a good choice. It looks pretty modern and cool as far decoration.
I definitely enjoyed the omelet more than the eggs with pancakes but both meals were good. I got the double decker omelet on the first day and while it wasn’t flashy it was definitely tasty. On the second day, my scrambled eggs were slightly overcooked and the pancakes (enormous) were actually a bit dry.
Overall I think this is a solid choice.

We got the Alaskan and West Coast Arnolds to try. We also got an order of French toast. Everything was great and our server Taylor was the best!

Came here for breakfast with some friends and had a great experience. We came on a Saturday and had a group of about 8 and even though tables were full they were nice enough to sit us at the bar so we didn’t have to wait. Our waitress was a sweetheart and made great recommendations and service was actually pretty quick even though they were busy. Great place for large group or just a couple.
