The Tipsy Pig — Tekamah, NE I’ve known for a long time that I have a love for two things: delicious food and mediocre writing.

Food was great, but not to have to pay extras salad dressing, lettuce, pickle, tomato.
Then my bill for 8 people $372.03 for 3 steaks and the rest sandwiches.
Didn’t see that they added gratuity, zeroed out tip when I cashed out with my waitress, told her I what I did and left an $60 tip I would have thought she would have brought it to my attention.
We will never be back or tell anyone to eat there again.
Enjoy!!!

Second time stopping here. There are a few things that stop me from giving a better review. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich and fries. The food was great and our server was friendly and prompt. The place is well kept and very clean. With that said The Tipsy Pig has DECEPTIVE pricing and total cost on the bill. My pork tenderloin did NOt come with the traditional garnishment. I.E. pickles lettuce tomatoes etc! Instead it was .25 cent additional cost for each item which basically adds 1.00 to the sandwich and to me that makes ZERO sense. Ask the customer what they want on it while taking their order and that will minimize wasted cost. Thats like charging extra for a bun on a burger. Then the BILL. A ” Convince ” fee was added to my bill for using a credit card with absolutely no different total if you were paying cash wich I did. I had to ask the server for the difference back. That is DECEPTIVE and there should be 2 different totals. One for cash and one for card. Everyone charges a fee for using a CC anymore and thats fine. That is not my complaint here. The receipt should again have BOTH totals.

Tom Andreasen inherited the restaurant skills of his father. The atmosphere is top notch. You will never miss a moment of a Husker game there, including a 75” HD TV, among the 6 others.

Don’t miss the urn containing the ashes of Tom’s pet pig, Willis.

Food is well worth the price and the portions are humongous. Drinks are cheap and never watered down. They offer seasonal special drinks, like “Pig on the Beach.”

After the 21 hour drive yhe food seemed exceptional but honestly it was just good. The service though was exceptional! The atmosphere was rusticly great. I leave recharged and full and would happily eat there again, but sadly there was no sweet tea.

First time. I had the chicken strip basket. They had a sour taste. I figured out the breading was beer battered. LOTS OF BEER. Beer batteryt does not go well with chicken strips. Ate two, left 4. Service was slow. I was not impressed and would not recommend this place.

We went in after my grandmother’s funeral and they were able to seat a large party and provide excellent service despite both our very large party and another one next to us. 10/10

The French Dip was great! Tender shaved prime rib on a toasted hoagie bun. We substituted a side salad for fries. Very nice salad.

First time to the tipsy pig. What a delight. Food came out promptly, service attended to all needs. Small town eatery with big flavor. Highly recommend the French dip paired with a Jameson ginger beer.
