Theo Thai Bistro in Bethpage is an absolute must-visit! From start to finish, the meal was incredible. We started with a variety of appetizers including the coconut butterfly shrimp with sweet chili sauce, chicken satay with their signature peanut sauce, and the Theo sampler with Thai spring rolls, dumplings, shrimp blankets, and fish cakes—all bursting with flavor.
The Tom Yum soup with seafood was perfectly balanced, warm, and comforting. For mains, the pad Thai with mixed seafood was insanely flavorful, but the real star of the night was the Massaman curry with rib eye. The broth, rich with southern Thai spices and coconut milk, was outstanding, and the meat literally fell apart in our mouths.
We ended the night on a sweet note with mango sticky rice and chocolate lava cake, both perfect finishes to an already amazing meal. The drinks, including the lychee Thai iced tea and mango mojito, were also fantastic.
Highly recommend checking this place out for anyone looking for an authentic, flavorful Thai experience with incredible hospitality.

This is the best thai place on long island. We come as a family and always have the best experience. The pad see ew (both chicken and beef) are packed with flavor, and the red curry is phenomenal. The mango sticky rice is the best we’ve tried!

Can’t beat the food quality and the service. Great Thai food. The staff is very attentive. They have a great lunch menu and it’s a great value. Soup, appetizers, and main dish for roughly 12 to 15 dollars. Owners are very friendly and the place is very welcoming. Bonus: the place is certified halal!

Let’s start by saying this place really isn’t a Thai restaurant in any meaningful sense. It feels more like someone’s side project — maybe a Thai home cook with little formal experience who decided to open a restaurant because they could, not because they knew how to cook authentic food.
Even the simplest things are off. Free water? It’s not even chilled — just room-temperature bottles (around 75°F) already sitting on the tables.
Our group of three ordered three different lunch specials. Big mistake. The “soup” that comes with the special was disappointing — instant MaMa noodles would taste better and have more flavor.
The tofu green curry tasted like something from a prepackaged meal, with none of the freshness or balance you expect from Thai food.
I ordered the Khao Soi curry noodles — they were mushy, overly salty, and had an unpleasant smell.
Honestly, if you don’t know how to cook, please don’t open a restaurant. Even if you’re not a professional chef, you should at least know what good food tastes like.

An absolute gem of a family-owned Thai restaurant! Leon and his family have created something truly special named after their son Theo, making every guest feel like they’ve been welcomed into their home for a meal.
Grandma was cooking up a storm in the open see through kitchen. The food came out so quickly. We started off with the chicken wings—perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. Then came the Kanom Jean Green Curry, which was rich, fragrant, and full of depth. The drunken noodles had just the right balance of spice and savoriness. We ordered medium and my spice tolerance is so low but it was delicious. Finally we finished off with the beef basil, which was incredibly flavorful and satisfying.
Every dish was cooked with care, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

This place used to be good and I used to get food here at least 2x a month. Now the service is terrible. Waited over an hour for my takeout and the lady working there is so rude! Plus, there were barely any customers in the restaurant so let’s not blame it on being busy. Never again.
