This was our first time visiting the Tasting Room on 9th. It was their 1 year Anniversary party. We had a group of 5 of us. We sat at the bar in order to try Happy Hour before going to dinner. Our bartender was every knowledgeable and the owner. We tried various wines & a couple of the cocktails. The downtown area of Myrtle is finally being revamped and we loved walking around after Happy Hour to see all the new changes about to be done. We all support the arts and local business so it’s definitely worth noting that a lot of the the new businesses downtown are female owned. Thank you for introducing us to new wines and we will be back soon!

A unique and different experience for a beach town. Menu, service, and ambiance 10/10. Doesn’t look like a lot on the outside but stop by for kicks and you won’t be disappointed. Food 10/10. We will be coming back!

Loved this place! We were staying in hotel ally and got tired of bar food. The food here was so fresh and delicious. My only regret was not finding this earlier in the week. We loved everything that was ordered in our group. We had the tuna ceviche, the “let him cook” flatbread, the French dip and the AG salad. The wine list was good and the staff was ready to make recommendations when we asked. The vibe is modern and everything was clean. The cost was the same as anything on the strip but the quality was far superior. It was quiet when we were there and are just hoping when we return, we will be able to get in!

The Tasting Room on 9th truly offers an unforgettable experience! I recently attended a private wine tasting event with only 12 guests, and every detail was impeccable. The intimate setting was perfect for savoring each course and learning about the thoughtfully selected wine pairings.
The menu was a work of art. We began with a delightful bread course paired with a Pierre Gimonnet ‘Cuvée Cuis 1er Cru’ Brut Blanc de Blancs—an ideal start. The second course featured two perfectly fried oysters with truffle aioli and smoked paprika, which were beautifully paired with Domaine Nudant Ladoix. Each bite was packed with flavor!
A standout was the seared scallop with acorn squash purée, complemented by a 2017 Oddero Barolo ‘Convento’. The dish was perfectly balanced with a touch of chive oil and spiced pumpkin seeds. The roasted duck breast with duck demi-glace, pickled cherries, and onion ash was rich and comforting, especially alongside Domaine de Chateaumar ‘Cuvée Bastien’.
The final course—a unique olive oil cake with stone fruit jam and mint—paired with Brooklynites’ Gewürztraminer, was the perfect end to the evening. The flavors were bright and refreshing, with just the right hint of sweetness.
The Tasting Room on 9th exceeded all expectations, offering a remarkable dining and wine experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, intimate culinary journey!

This place is excellent. Each feature of the food, drinks, service and style are expertly put together. The flatbreads are delicious! The Manchego has been on their menu from day one for a reason. The drinks are unique and handcrafted. Ask for something with their house-made sour mix, it’s so good.
The service felt personalized for each group that came in. In every corner there are touches that make this place feel like it’s a project of love. We had plans to tour around and ended up spending most of our night sitting and relaxing there.

I stumbled across this gem while on vacation, and how happy I was to find it! Delicious cocktails and wine in a lovely, historic building. All of that would warrant five stars, and I would have left a happy man. But the kind, friendly, knowledgeable staff (especially Raegan) made this the type of spot I wanted to come back to…and did! Anyone who wants a classier outing in a friendly, laid back atmosphere, PLEASE give The Tasting Room a try. I live 5 hours from Myrtle Beach, but will return sometime soon mostly because of my wonderful experiences here.
