Last night’s wine pairing dinner was truly a 10/10 experience. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that felt both elegant and comfortable. The chef absolutely blew me away each dish was a masterpiece, perfectly paired with wines that brought out every flavor. You could feel the passion behind every plate and every pour. And the people? Just amazing. Great conversations, great vibes, and an overall unforgettable evening. I left full, happy, and already looking forward to the next one!

We attended the Sky Market and ended up in the tasting room on the first floor. Modern,
festive ambiance and live music playing. Friendly bartenders and waitress. Love the small plates and so many tasty options for the holidays! They are very small portions especially the arancini was two tiny bite size balls. They were both tasty, I would recommend ordering at least three small plates for sharing! We left hungry and it was a busy holiday weekend, so we weren’t able to find food elsewhere. But it was a fun stop and next time will just order more small plates to taste! There were several others on the menu I would love to try!

This was the perfect place to celebrate my one week of cycling along the Empire State Trail. I booked on Open Table and then called as their 5 Course Tasting Menu was not an option. We made an early reservation (5pm!) as we were leaving early the next morning and wanted time to digest BUT we ate, drank, enjoyed the music by the talented Mary Nickson, lingered, laughed, and drank some more not leaving until after 9pm.
The wine was pitch perfectly paired with delicious food — each course was better than the last although perhaps the rack of lamb was tops!!
Our cheese board printed menu notes all items available for 10% off next door at EPICUSE – which is worth your time to browse and purchase anything.
I will return to Syracuse for more time wandering downtown and always finish at this exquisite spot!!

My girlfriend and I did the 5 course bourbon pairing. The food was delicious and the portions were large, so don’t fill up on bread haha The bourbon/whiskey was flavorful – I prefer simple bourbons so I don’t know if I’m the best critic to review them. Overall definitely recommend.

If you like the dusky atmosphere of a lounge, but you’ve always had a soft spot for fine dining this is definitely a hit. The Tasting Room offers wonderful flavors and a luxury feel with all the hospitality of your favorite family owned restaurant. With live music and tasty wine what’s there not to love. Our server was spectacular and always attentive. The meticulously selected wine pairings were so good they could even be chugged on their own! My wife and I absolutely loved it for our Valentine’s day dinner. Thanks to Claire, Thomas, and Martina for making it a romantic and memorable evening!

We went to The Tasting Room last night for our anniversary. We had the 7 course menu with the wine pairing. Everything was incredible. Our waiter Thomas was attentive and amazing. Left drunk, full and happy!

A great experience during dining week. The salmon, ribs, and crab cake really stood out from our three course meal. The quality of the food is on par with the best Syracuse has to offer, and not outrageous pricing.

We went in for valentines day. The service was so good. The live music was awesome too. What was not awesome was the back of the house. Whoever the chef was back there sent the server back to the table three different times after we placed our order to inform us that they refused to make our order the way we requested. They made that menu so confusing that even the server was unsure if the a la cart order that we placed would go over with the kitchen.

We were not picky when placing our order at all! I felt bad for the girl honestly. I could tell she was reluctant to tell us that we had to change our order the third time because she got such a hard time from the kitchen.

We were supposed to get a wine pairing with our duck appetizer. 1 hour in and still no food and no beverages aside from the water. No bread, nothing.

We ordered prosecco eventually to have just something. Finally the duck came out then came the wine pairing. The lady had such great conversation while she served the wine. My husband enjoyed the duck. For the price it was very small and underwhelming in my opinion. Next came the lobster risotto. It was cold. We were starving at that point so we ate the small appetizer (which was 22 dollars).

After that we waited and waited. 2 hours went by and we still didn’t have our entree. When we got there the restaurant was only half full…

Our reservation was at 6pm; at 815 the cowboy steak for two came out. The server said that they only prepare it medium rare and that they are very meticulous about that. When the steak came out it was sliced and was well done. Not only that but the broccolini was stone cold. We called the owner over and showed her the steak and asked her to touch the broccoli. She said they would refire the steak. At that point we were done waiting and frustrated. I didn’t expect her to comp the bill but she graciously did.

Again the service was impeccable but its obvious that the kitchen does not have it together back there. We ended up leaving hungry as we were frustrated and tired of waiting. 2 hours for dinner is absolutely ridiculous. The chef should be ashamed. What a mess.

While I appreciate the comped meal and the wine, my review was based on the quality of the food itself, not just the price or portion size. The fact that we shared dishes doesn’t change our ability to evaluate the flavors, preparation, or overall experience. Your response feels dismissive, as if our experience was invalid because others enjoyed their meals. A restaurant’s standard should be consistent, not dependent on whether someone is sharing plates or how many other guests were satisfied. I stand by my review.

Incredible 7 course meal and wine pairing – the food was delicious and the wine seemed to perfectly complement each dish. We left there pretty full and buzzed. Great place to celebrate an occasion, cant wait to go back!

We ordered lunch from here as a group. I ordered the Mac & cheese flight. Take out or not it was the worst, most flavorless, mac & cheese I’ve ever had. It was practically water and noodles. The burnt ends were hard and overly salty. For $16 I would at least expect something that doesn’t look like it came from a box. In fact even boxed Mac & cheese isn’t that watery. Pics attached, one each of the 3 mac & cheeses.
