The Taste of Midland is Midland’s newest and tastiest family owned Tex-Mex restaurant! The Taste of Midland is a second location branched off the original The Taste of Bay City in Bay City, MI. There is a full menu of items ranging from appetizers, à la carte items, entrees, and children’s meals! There are also daily food specials seven days a week and a full bar with a variety of speciality margaritas! In addition to excellent food and drinks, there is also lottery and occasional entertainment such as music offered.

I enjoyed the most delightful authentic Mexican cuisine today at A Taste of Midland. They have tastefully spirited margaritas that are sure to hit the spot on a hot day, along with a delicious burrito supreme with shredded chicken, beans, and the most flavorful rice I’ve ever had! This is not to mention their mouth watering chicken fajitas quesadillas! Over all it was a fantastic and memorable experience and I definitely recommend stopping by! Monica was a wonderful server!

We enjoyed our stay a bit of older building small and just what I like. Living with fibromyalgia, it gets difficult when I am out.
Seating booths were broken at the base backing loose bathroom is decent as I said before it’s an older building and needs some tender loving care. Service was quick and friendly it felt good to come into a restaurant and receive kind staff and great food. I prefer a small and quiet atmosphere. Prices were decent.

Went here for my birthday dinner. The food was disgusting. The margaritas were super thick and very syrupy. The waitress did the best that she could, but the owners were not trying to barge, even though we did not eat the food would never come back here and I drove two hours away just to try it because I thought it’d be somewhere delicious for me and my family to eat for my birthday. We had to go to taco bell!! Service was slow despite not being busy!! I’ve been waiting all week for this.

Tara was our waitress! She was super kind, attentive, and bubbly! She was quick with drink refills and taking our orders. The food, as always, was phenomenal! I highly recommend eating here!!! I always have left overs as the portions are large!:) Slightly expensive but well worth it!

Don’t let the lack of exterior signage and missing parking lines deter you. The Taste of Midland is amazing. The bar & grill atmosphere is cozy and the wait staff is friendly. And though the name doesn’t immediately bring Mexican cuisine to mind, it is truly a taste worth tasting. The food was delicious. The presentation reminded me of restaurants in the suburbs of Detroit and throughout Ann Arbor. And the proportions were exceptional.
We had the Birria Tacos, Carne Asada Tacos (sub Chicken), Double-Decker Tacos and the Burrito Supreme (sub Chicken, minus Cheese & Sour Cream). All highly recommended.

We had a great time. The atmosphere was quiet, perfect for catching up. There was more than enough Margarita flavors to choose from and they were all tasty. I’d like to thank the wait staff especially Darrius who was friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Everyone enjoyed their dish and the price was reasonable. Can’t wait to go back.

I placed a to go order this week, very specific on what I wanted. Simple, onion and cilantro tacos. I got it home across town and it was wrong. I called and they said I could come back and they would redo it. I said I wasn’t coming back that night. She offered to take my name and correct order for me to pick up another day-FACT. Today they denied my order after placing it stating both a-it was made right the first time and b:manager never approved the order. The manager, Amanda was raising her voice and would not stop talking for 2 seconds for me to get a word in. Very poor customer service. I’ve been here many times and will never be back. Learn to take care of your customers when you make a mistake. You say it was made right the first time, however were willing to remake it that night. Interesting.

Food was so good! We did the Valentines Special and for the price, it was worth it!! The portions were huge and delicious! Our waitress Tara was so nice! She was quick and checked in with us frequently! We will definitely be back

Very busy Mexican restaurant just off Bay City Rd. Blockhouse style building is reminiscent of a small family owned restaurant in Mexico. Very good food in portions commensurate with the price was quickly prepared and arrived hot at the table after only a short wait.
Darius was an amazing server; super friendly and knowledgeable, high energy, and able to help with our choices.
Multiple types of margaritas are available including flights of four are recommended, as well as a full dessert menu.
Entree prices run $14-$18. Entrees.come with beans and Spanish style rice.
I am looking forward to going back.
