Don’t let the old reviews deter you from dining at the Tap Room. We dined here for lunch and dinner December 2025 – the food was truly exceptional. The format is simple – filet mignon, pork chop, ragu cavatelli, cheeseburger etc but the execution is 10/10. Everything was cooked to the right temperature and seasoned perfectly. We received fabulous service by Elizabeth in the dining room and Jordan at the bar. They were both warm and attentive. We are excited to return to stay at the Mayflower knowing that we can enjoy excellent meals throughout the day at the restaurants.
Side note for wine lovers – they have some hard to get wines – Antica Terra Pinot Noir and some older vintages 2016 Chiquet special club etc. Recommend.

We came for NYE, unfortunately they were not accommodating to my husbands gluten free allergy AT ALL. We felt like we weren’t welcome which is sad considering how much we spent ($600 total) :/ I didn’t even see a general allergy line on the menu anywhere . I also tried calling 4 times the day before and they never answered or called me back. No compensation was given. Not even our sodas haha, I’ll call management later but I had to get it off my chest. It was a nice space but unfortunately we just felt uncomfortable after the allergy was discarded. Hope next year is better for them!! Not sure if we’d be back though…

Lovely overall. We had a few drinks (good) along with olives, the burger (very good) and a kids pasta (good). Service was good as well.

Following recommendations from friends, we visited The Tap Room for dinner. We sat outside to enjoy a much welcome fall like August evening. Overall the experience was good however nothing was great.
Good: charcuterie board, hen of the woods main, overall ambiance
Callouts: one too many flies and pieces of ash flying around outside, unclear gluten free options, was halfway through the main course when they brought over sauces for the chicken.

Very disappointed in the food, I could have done better in my kitchen. Definitely not worth the money. Would be better off with a local restaurant in town
