I recently visited this place because I heard they had the best tamales in Deer Park, so I made a special trip to try them. When I arrived, I was surprised to find the tamales were being sold inside a gas station, but I still decided to give them a chance.I specifically told the lady helping me that I have had bad experiences with tamales in the past where the filling is so small that all you taste is dough. She offered me a sample of the beans, which were okay but a bit salty. At 21.99 a dozen, the tamales are on the pricey side, but I went ahead and bought 2 dozen pork and 1 dozen bean, and I also asked to try the boudin.When I got home, I realized the labels were wrong and I had been given brisket instead of boudin. Tasting everything, the pork tamales were again too salty for my liking, and overall I was disappointed with both the flavor and the mix‑up on the order.I was really hoping to find a new go‑to spot for tamales, but unfortunately this experience did not meet my expectations.
