Simply stated….the best Al Pastor Tacos (highly recommend this on your order)! The mix with cilantro, onions, pineapple, and the meat is just out of this world. Not to mention the corn tortillas have a beautiful golden yellow color that match in taste.

Some of the best tacos I have had. The price to quality ratio is unreal. I highly recommend getting the Cameron Shrimp tacos and the Al Pastor. The street corn is on point as well. There is both indoor and outdoor seating at this location and both get full, however that shows how good this place is. Can’t miss this place

I liked the condiments that were available for self serve. The tacos were good, I just really wish they were crispier! When I order fish tacos I want them to crunch with every bite & these didn’t give me not one crunch :/ . Thankfully I got there before there was a line & snagged a table also. The horchata was good.

ABSOLUTE YES The Taco Stand is very famous and a bit of a phenomenon. I’m familiar with the other location in Bird Rock, La Jolla . This is not a healthy place in particular and they have french fries in one of the burritos and whatever. It’s very very good. Both of the locations I’ve been at have an endless line and you can even use the app which is important to know because you don’t even have to wait in the line. You can literally walk past the line and get your food in 5 minutes. Everyone working there is genuine, hardworking and this is obviously one of the long-standing places that is well-known. They literally never run out of a line. I am nutritionally minded so I chose tonight to get the mushroom burrito which was sensational. I’m also starting to formulate a plan to try the bean and cheese burritos because that’s also a reasonable option. But of course the carne asada and other options are great and just basically excellent. There’s all sorts of character and vibe here. You get your cups of salsa and different topping sauces that really add to what’s already phenomenal. I was so loving that mushroom burrito. I was showing a friend around who was visiting and this is just really a great place. For families with kids for anyone. So this is a top recommend and I just don’t think anyone’s go going to be disappointed. It’s a very long-standing high-quality place. Every person I talk to is genuine and kind and that’s what I like to see and that’s why I give five stars. When people care about what they’re doing, are interested in the subject matter at hand and that they’re community supportive and take care of people. That’s certainly true about this place and this is a strong very strong recommend. There are other options all-around certainly that are good but you’re not going to regret this place in my opinion. Meanwhile, I paid $9 with 15% tip so, YEAH.

The fish tacos were the best I’ve ever had! All the tacos and burritos looked great though. This place is always busy but we’ve always heard about it and decided to just wait. The line moves quickly and you can find a seat by the time your order is ready. Going back soon!

By far the best surf & turf (Mar y Tierra) burrito I’ve ever eaten. The quality of the steak and shrimp along with the freshly made tortilla is unbeatable. Also their churros are phenomenal. I absolutely understand why there is always a line out the door. Will definitely be back

The tacos really are amazing. But be prepared for long waits and go when you have nowhere to be. We waited for 45 mins after we ordered (which was a 15 minute line too). The chips are good and guacamole okay (badly needed salt.) The two best tacos without question are the al pastor and the shrimp. The sauces are great and not spicy (not even the spiciest).

Excellent local place!! Came on a slow afternoon. Food is made fresh for you, lovely salsa bar, and the horchata is great! We got Carne asada tacos and the steak is so tender and it is super tasty! I also got an al pastor taco– great seasoning and juicy. The mushroom taco was on whim and it was spectacular with grilled onions and garlic. They are not crazy big, but two was way too much for myself. Before leaving we got churros to go– GET THESE. A side of sweetened condensed milk to freshly made churros. They are beyond amazing and cheap! We live 30 minutes away but occasionally go to Moonlight, and we will be adding this to our trips in the future!

Corn on the cob… Excellent! Carne asada taco… excellent. Grilled fish taco… extra excellent! No joke the best fish taco I have ever had! This place I was worried was over hyped. We had to wait in a long line to get in, but PEOPLE! This place is soooo worth it! And bonus tip, Gelato is two blocks down to complete your perfect meal!

Some of the better tacos I’ve had. Couldn’t make up my mind so I ordered 4 different tacos, each one was better than the other. Great place to grab a bite . Didn’t realize this was a chain restaurant when I was in there, but they’ve got something going on and it’s going to take off. Friendly staff, and worth the wait! In you’re in the area stop by and leave happy.
