The Taco Joint in Hollywood had potential, but our experience was definitely mixed. We’re vegan, and even after clearly telling them our order, it still came out wrong. When we pointed it out, instead of fixing it easily, they wanted to charge us more even though the mistake wasn’t on our end. On top of that, they had already added their own tip, which made the situation feel even more frustrating. The food itself was decent once it was corrected, and the place has a nice vibe, but the service really took away from the experience. We didn’t feel heard, and it turned what should’ve been a simple fix into an unnecessary hassle.

I’ve visited this place 3 times before leaving a review . All 3 times I’ve had horrible service, the last time I sat there 2 hours with an dirty tray and empty pineapple, sandy brown beard didn’t even give me a water but made a priority for every customer to get a cup of ice water when being seated… weird, watched 4 tables get served and cashed out, my server made himself a drink, and grabbed his phone disappearing in the kitchen before I got a second drink (I never got a 2nd drink btw…) Beef Nachos, chicken & Al pastor taco, and pineapple drinks are 10/10 . Lobster taco taste like imitation crab fried 2/10.

Nice spot to sit and have a good meal. My favorite was the crispy shrimp tacos. I wish the rice was cooked better, other than that everything was great from the service to the food we got. Definitely recommend!

Bad food. Extremely dry ground beef on the tacos. Bad service. Guy claiming to be manager is extremely rude and unapologetic about the dry food or trash service. Plus a 20% tip without warning

Great location right on the beach. Great food and drink selection. We had the nachos and tacos. Both were amazing!! Try the street corn on the cob too!! They were a little busy so service was a little spotty. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Amazing Veggie taco options w mushroom or grilled pineapple w kimchi. Black beans were excellent flavor but undercooked. Rice was ok, elote was delicious.

Been here many times pre fire and renovation. My favorite eatery on the boardwalk. Went this evening and the food is still great. Highly recommend the calamari, fish and shrimp appetizer. The chipotle sauce is fantastic. Great margaritas! 3 stars is due to the fact they add a 20% service fee to your bill. No where obvious does it state this. I have no problem tipping 15-25% or more based on service. Check your bill! Just not a fan of the way some establishments are doing this. I get it when it’s a larger party but it was just me and my wife. Will return, but not happy with this.
