The Surf Club Restaurant by Chef Thomas Keller is located within the recently revamped iconic Miami club, bringing a stylish swing to the Miami culinary scene. The restaurant honors the location’s history of grand parties and the jet-set leisure culture of decades past, featuring Continental cuisine, classic cocktails, a selection of 1950’s vintage spirits, and a curated cigar program. Steaks, Chops, Lobster Thermidor, Caesar Salad, Avocado Louie, and Lemon Tart are among the dishes prepared to Chef Keller’s standards using the finest ingredients. The coral, blue and sleek wood décor evoke a time of days gone by. Modern yet respectful of tradition, sophisticated but with a sense of fun, this is a can’t-miss tribute to classic Miami.

The lobster Thermidor will live in my head rent free for the rest of my life. The sauce alone deserves its own write up. This is fine dining at the highest level, set inside the stunning Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, and I have never had to use so much willpower in my life to not lick a plate clean. The depth of flavor in the sauces is something Keller does like no one else. It goes beyond normal food logic and straight into obsession territory.
What has been consistent across every Keller restaurant I have visited is the sense of surprise, delight, and flawless service. Here, that signature excellence is paired with beach vibes and a seafood-forward menu, which may honestly make this my favorite experience yet. It somehow manages to feel both elevated and relaxed, indulgent but casual fun.
Every detail was dialed in. The pacing, the service, the presentation, and of course the food itself were all absolute perfection. If you are a serious foodie, this is worth every single dime. A truly unforgettable dining experience and one I will be thinking about for a very long time.
I’d like to commend our main server (in the suit) for their exceptional kindness. On a small note for improvement, one of the assistant staff in a vest was a bit unprofessional—they picked up my napkin from my chair and folded it in a very distracted, hurried manner while joking with a coworker, then dropped it back on the table quite abruptly. Despite that brief moment of confusion, the rest of the experience was top-tier. We left with happy hearts and definitely plan to return! ·͜·
Arrived late afternoon in Nov. Originally I was planning to dine at Lido (another restaurant in the same building, for that experience at Lido. Check my review SoulEdge: Nosedive Tailspin..) but since this restaurant is located closer. I decided to dine. Emily helped me with seating & menu. I felt uncomfortable with sitting next to the window on the main hallway that’s beside the Bar, leading to the other dining room. Due too I’m trying to enjoy my dining experience, but so much back & forth movement. I ate Bucatini Pomodoro (good portion too) & Cheesecake. I dine the next day, arriving early. This time I asked for a better seat, thankfully it was available. Met Sebastian & Daniel, they gave good service. I ate Bucatini Pomodoro (with Fettuccine pasta) & Chocolate Soufflé with Pistachio ice cream. Good on the Appetizer with Lemon Dill sauce & famous Parker Rolls. I can hear the kitchen staff with good cadence. I’ve been told live music begins at 7 pm everyday. Kudos to everyone for the excellent service. Both visits dedicated to my then German American ex girlfriend who looks like Lagertha from a vikings tv show. Cue in the songs “The Lady In Red” by Chris de Burgh and “The Golden Age” by The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. ✌️
The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and executed at a very high level. The flavors were refined, and the quality of ingredients was evident in every bite. While the portions were quite small, the precision and artistry in each dish made up for it.
The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and sophisticated. It’s a beautiful space, and despite being a high-end dining establishment, it doesn’t feel overly loud or crowded, which makes for a comfortable and intimate experience.
For parking, you have two options: street parking, which is paid per hour, or valet service for $35.
Overall, The Surf Club offers an exceptional culinary experience, with exquisite food, a stunning atmosphere, and top-tier service. I highly recommend it for a special night out!
