At 8:55 PM, the server returned and we let her know we were ready to order-about $50 worth of sandwiches only, specifically to keep it simple and minimize impact on the kitchen given the time.
At 9:01 PM, a manager approached our table and informed us that the kitchen was actually already closed and that we would not be receiving food.
Unfortunately, the interaction was handled in a very rude and dismissive manner.
Sundown is, I suspect, the tavernest place in Ruston. It lends itself to good music and entertainment, local and national brews on tap, and some really good catfish. It’s divided between an inside area (with a bar, pool, and indoor seating) and an outdoors patio that’s super chill to hang around in cool autumn days.
I got two of the local IPAs on tap: Ghost in the Machine and Dr. Juice. With names like those, how could I say no? Coupled with the catfish and fries, and amazing service, it was an amazing dinner.
So today is 02/25/2022 I’m updating my review. I will not be coming back here ever again. I was told I had to pay $5 just to order my food. I was told to order at the bar. But didn’t know if I need to go sit back down at my table or wait at the bar. I was yelled at by a man that worked here that I needed to move. The bartenders had an attitude and were rude to me. It was embarrassing, because I had family in town just wanting to order some food. And when are food came out it was the wrong food. I really love this place. But I’m so sad now. I will not be treated like this ever again.
