What a great pub with yummy food and great staff. Came here with a group of kids and adults and they were very accommodating. Ordered the lobster Mac n cheese and the whippee goat cheese burger with miso Brussels sprouts. So good. Would definitely come back next time we’re in Halifax!

Our first time here and 100% not the last. Everything about stubborn goat was lovely and entertaining. I had the mushroom burger and have genuinely been thinking about it for days now. I upgraded my fries to the mac and cheese and the portion was a great size I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Highly recommend!!

The food was delicious and the service really stood out. Jonny took excellent care of us—friendly, attentive, and always making sure we had everything we needed. Sitting outside was perfect for enjoying the nice weather and people‑watching.
The nachos were incredible—huge, fully loaded, and layered all the way through. Easily some of the best I’ve had in ages. The whisky burgers were tasty, and the poutine was great too. We also visited the owner’s Mexican restaurant while in Halifax, and it was just as impressive. Highly recommend stopping by.

My wife and I had lunch here and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent and they took the time to explain the local beer options. We had mussels and pizza (get the hot honey drizzle) and it was great. The outdoor seating was next to a pedestrian walking area which was nice (no cars going by). This was walking distance from our Harbourfront hotel so it was convenient. I will return the next time I am in Halifax!

Had a great experience! The whiskey and bacon burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Our server had her hands full with the two of us. One with celiac disease and the other with a severe dairy allergy, but we both felt very safe and well taken care of. They were knowledgeable about food allergies, able to accommodate our needs, and offered plenty of options. The service was fantastic; our server was friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful. We will definitely be returning!

Went for an office Christmas party, everyone’s meal was good except for mine and my coworkers. We ordered the Fish ‘n’ chips – bad choice. The fish was not fresh, and extremely dry. Neither of us ate it, and we were both given a discount of, wait for it, 3 dollars. By the time the waitress finally got to check on us, it was too late and we had to get back to work.

Generally a good experience! We were able to walk in and get seated on the patio. Service was excellent, general vibe was also great. My husband’s pizza was delicious. My mushroom burger however was over fried on the outside, and underdone on the inside. Also very few condiments, more bun than anything. Not something I’d recommend.

Great experience, Emma provided excellent service while the food was superb. I would say that it was busy when we visited but for a 3pm on a Sunday, the dining room had someone at every table. We had a great time as we could hear each other talk while taking in March Madness. This was a great start to the evening at Scotiabank Centre. I was so full i could not finish the flight I ordered. Please don’t judge, I’m ashamed.
We will be back. The whisky smash burger and beet salad were perfect.
