I had 3 Pancakes my wife had one and we both agree it was the best one we enjoyed so far on our road trip across America. The price was perfect very affordable, The was excellent and the service was awesome thanks guys!!

Is this white toast or black toast? I cannot believe I was given this burnt toast with my omelette, even though it was not a main dish, but it should’ve been thrown away. Also, my meat loaf was also burnt and I definitely did not ordered it to be burnt!

Truly disappointing!

We dined here on 8/2/25. The staff were friendly and we were seated quickly as there wasn’t a lot of people there at 9:00 am. I had a daily special which was a Southwestern Omelette. It came with toast and potatoes. It was a good portion and tasted very good. I ordered hash browns and they were actually pretty good. My wife ordered Chicken and Waffles. The chicken was so tender she could cut it with a fork. She said the waffle was good also.

The food itself was good. The wait staff was friendly. We were seated quickly. The cook staff was slow and orders were piled up at the window. We waited over an hour for our food, a party of four. I heard wait staff composing about the lethargy of the cooks, having to wait for orders. I witnessed our own waitress throw a stack of pancakes(ours) away because they’d gotten cold, which made the wait longer. Having an elderly person with back pain with us, the delay was painful for her. The atmosphere was family friendly, good music, not too loud, mostly older patrons.

Loved this place! We were driving by after a 3 hour drive and enjoyed an awesome meal. It’s a Great looking place, very quaint, and has a well shaded patio also. Looking for a small bite, the fishermen’s platter was a really good choice, and we had a bloody Mary and onion rings also. It’s definitely a place we will visit again. Thank you to the awesome servers and kitchen staff also especially since they did say “thank-you” on our way out. Thanks again.

The eggs Benedict did not have Hollandaise sauce. It had a white cheese sauce on it. Had they been truthful about that, I would have ordered something else. I had to get up and go find a waitress to get a fork while my food was getting cold and the cheese sauce was solidifying. I have family who loves this place so I’ll give it a second chance.

We had a wonderful experience here. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich, plenty of avocado. We also did the homemade biscuits, which we appreciate are made in-house. Not many options for vegans.
Josie took excellent care of us. She checked in frequently and made sure everyone had what they needed at all times. We will definitely be back.

Metro Diner in Cape Coral consistently delivers delicious breakfast fare. On our recent visit, the avocado toast and fruit waffle were both excellent, upholding the diner’s reputation for quality food. We’ve been frequent customers and have always enjoyed our meals here.
However, our last experience was significantly marred by the exceptionally poor service. Our server seemed completely unmotivated when taking our order. While we understand that service styles can vary, this particular instance stood out. It left us wondering why someone so seemingly unhappy with their job would be working in customer service.
Given the lack of any discernible effort or gratitude, the automatically applied 19% tip felt excessive in retrospect. The server didn’t even acknowledge or thank us when taking our payment, making us wish we could have left no tip at all.

Good location, quick to be seated. Drink orders taken quickly. You could tell our server was very experienced. We ordered four meals, and two had details wrong. The shrimp and grits were good, but some of the shrimp were undercooked. Surprisingly, the hashbrown had to be remade before they even came out, and when they did, they were very hot inside and barely browned. The fried chicken benedict and the “skillet bowl” forgot what they called it got big thumbs up. Overall, it’s better than the average place, should be a 3.5 if I could rate it that.
