I went to the Stray Dog Café for New Year’s precisely for the following reasons: fun, great parking, a great menu — and the fourth, most important reason, their rescue efforts for dogs. My brother’s disabled pitbull mix, Radar, died about a week ago, and spending money at this local venue felt like a meaningful tribute to Radar as I entered 2026. I only knew Radar since September, but I instantly fell in love with his gentleness, gratitude, and perseverance. Being here felt like a small but intentional way to honor him.
I am so delighted to support a restaurant that cares about the wellbeing of animals, and that love is clearly reflected in everything they do. I had a delicious Impossible burger and a great vodka soda, and the service was excellent. This is a great place to meet people, with a welcoming and lively atmosphere. I hope to come back and give trivia night a try, and it’s also a fantastic venue to watch sports — so many screens and comfy chairs. Thank you for the excellent service and the yummy dinner and your commitment to our pups! Support local PS/I returned for the Super Bowl and this menu is delicious! I do not know how they don’t have a perfect 5 star because it is SO DELICIOUS every time I come here! The Caesar salad is phenomenal and I love the impossible burgers. The Caesar salad is phenomenal and I love the impossible burgers! The French onion and mushroom is the best! and Marlene is amazing. Thank you!

Nice atmosphere, great service, and food. Chicken pot pie was delicious, and the wings were cooked perfectly.
The outside bar area has tvs to watch sports. They could use some outdoor fans for a breeze when it’s hot out.
We’d love to come back at night and sit around fire pit and listen to live music.

Just went with a friend for the first time, noon on Tuesday. No waiting nor crowds. Johnnie was our friendly, helpful and pleasant.
We had the pretzel beer cheese app and it was absolutely delicious!!@$11.00. Served 2 fine, could have been 3.
My friend had the Beet/ goat cheese salad@$15 and it was presented beautifully and she said all arugula which she liked and lots of cheese! She was happy. I had the classic burger with fries. One of the tastiest burgers I have had, for sure!! Just delicious food!
Will definitely return !

My band played here for an audition and it was such a cool place! The food was absolutely incredible. The brisket cut like butter. The po boy was massive. The fries were excellent with a nice crunch. I felt like I ate like a king. Very reasonable pricing too for the massive quantities you get. The stage at night is something else. It was one of the coolest places I’ve gigged at.

Walking in the door you are greeted by a warm and cozy establishment, almost like a cottage feel. The staff are warm and welcoming as they find a seat which you are interested in, restaurant, bar or bar table. Soon after being seated you are greeted by your waiter or waitress whom requests your drink order. In our case we were very interested in their extensive draft list but had several questions. Josh who was our fantastic waiter walked us through the draft menu offering us recommendations based on previous guests; being very patient in the process as we took some time to decide. After that they were very efficient with procuring our drinks and taking our first and second course orders. The food was out of this world, surpassing our expectations being a small tavern on the outskirts of a large city! This food was out of this world. French inspired cuisine with a flair of local decadence, I am serious when I tell you this food will not disappoint. I highly recommend the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese and mushroom, Gouda pizza, and seared tuna. These dishes were large in portion while being reasonable in price. Additionally the short rib and beef tips were fantastic main courses but the pot pie was a close 3rd with the apple dumplings and the s’more’s tart being my favorite desserts! Then there was Karla our fabulous bartender and mixologist who provided our flight of beers perfectly labeled for the tasting and after drink cocktails with the most beautiful garnishes. Each drink was hand crafted with the most perfect touch to signify that there had been much care and thought delivered into the formulation. Overall, this establishment far surpassed my initial expectations and may be one of my new favorited spots in the area!

Excellent food and service. The pizza is some of the best I have ever had. I had the buratta pie and while it’s a pan pizza, the dough is so light and airy instead of being dense and greasy, but still had a nice crunch to it. It was perfect. The burgers were also amazing. Perfectly cooked with a nice char on it, tons of flavor and not overcooked. Reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of food. They have a fantastic set up for bands during the warmer months so I definitely plan to return and check out a band sometime. Staff was friendly, efficient and made you feel at home.

1st time here. My husband and I joined friends for dinner. The staff is very friendly. We had a new waiter, Tyler, and when he got behind on his tables, his co-workers stepped in to help. A shout to Rachel for making me a lavender Martini . 7 days a week from 4-6, they have a happy hour menu, so we got the .50 cent wings . They also have 2 types of sliders on the happy hour menu as well. We all liked our food. I got the classic burger, my husband had the chicken potpie, my friend got fish and chips while her boyfriend got the mushroom soup and Boston steak tips. We had a great time. The place filled up by the time we left. When we walked out, there was a couple dancing to the music at the bar. They looked like they were having a great time.

I used to come here all the time and get their brick chicken. It was one of my favorite things on the menu! The service has always been pretty bad but the food was so so good that it was worth it. Then the quality of the brick chicken started a slowly go down— for a few times that I ordered it, It didn’t quite taste the same and then the last few times I ordered it, it was awful. Then they took it off the menu so I decided to try their chicken pot pie and it was incredible! However when I went last week for some chicken pot pie, they were sold out and they told me to come the next week. Super disappointing but it’s now the next week and I was so excited! Unfortunately I was served an overcooked / almost burnt puff pastry on top. It was super bitter and not tasty at all + some soggy burnt pieces inside too (yet somehow there were parts in the middle that the pastry was raw ? so aka turn down the oven temp and cook it for less time lol). I didn’t even get a chance to let my server know because not once did she check up on me besides for me to ask for the check (also I was the only person there besides 1 other couple at a table so ?). So when she handed me the check and she asked how everything was, I let her know the pastry on top is overcooked and bitter so that was a bit disappointing since it’s the best part! she was super sweet and said she would let the chef know. I thought maybe she would come back and say the chef sent his apologies or something but she just came back to hand me my change in which I said thank you so much and she just walked away. I will probably not ever be back for a pot pie again. oh, also their tomato soup that comes with their grilled cheese is very on obviously from a can and not very good. great grilled cheese tho!

Went for dinner and drinks, sat at the bar. The two female bartenders could have been a tad more friendly. Not very welcoming basically just grumpy…unless you are a local and or a man .. they seemed to cater more towards. It’s a shame I wouldn’t go back or tell my friends to go there because of how uncomfortable I felt sitting at the bar.
Food was pretty good though, and I loved the atmosphere as in the way it was decorated and dimmed lighting. Warm and cozy.

I stopped in for lunch one afternoon and found a hidden gem. Food was excellent, service was excellent, the decor very pleasing and relaxing. There is a full service bar both inside and outside. The outside bar has a heated patio, a beer garden and there also is a tented area on the back lawn. They have several inside rooms. Plenty of parking plenty of handicap parking the entrance is handicapped-accessible but not the bathrooms they are small and will not allow room for a wheelchair if necessary. What a great place for lunch dinner date private Gathering good selection of wine TVs in the inside bar and I believe there is TVs at the outside bar as well. I’m so glad they were able to survive all the restrictions of covid-19 and are up and running. definitely worth stopping in !
