The Stratford Pub opened in January 2018, we knew we wanted to embrace the history behind the name of Avondale Estates, so we created a pub with a little English and Irish flare. And the ideal name for us was of course Stratford Pub. On our menu you will find Fish and Chips, Shepard’s Pie and other seasonal tradition entrees.

We got the burger, buffalo cauliflower, and the French dip. Burger was tasty and fries were nicely seasoned. The cauliflower was quite good and came with enough to feed at least three or four as an appetizer. The French dip roast beef seemed a bit old but the hoagie and au jus was good. The interior of the pub needs some work. Great service!

Great little pub find in an historic Atlanta neighborhood. This small but very traditional pub in the Avondale neighborhood of Atlanta is a must stop at when in the area. Food was made fresh to order and the service was the best highlight of the lunch. Even with a small menu, the food was well prepared, and had both traditional English pub food as well as excellent burgers and other food items. They fried pickles are the must try appetizer when visiting this quality pub in Avondale.

Came in for a weekday lunch and will gladly return. I got the caesar salad with grilled chicken – salad was well dressed, lettuce was cut perfectly and still ice cold, chicken was piping hot and delicious. My friend got the one of the wraps and fries and loved it. Atmosphere, service, and staff were excellent. We were in and out quickly and are excited to become lunch time regulars!

We had previously visited the Stratford and was impressed with the food and service. We were told about an area “The Stratford Upstairs” by Jess as a possible party venue. We scheduled my wife’s birthday party there and was blown away.
The atmosphere, bar and ambiance upstairs is perfect for a family gathering, office party or any other function where you desire perfection and fun.
The food ( steak, grilled chicken, cauliflower, green beans and my wife’s favorite the Reuben egg roll, was all well prepared and delicious.
The staff and their dedication to service and the customer is beyond reproach.
Seriously the Stratford upstairs is a hidden gem and I highly recommend this venue.

After moving to Atl from the UK, I’ve missed having a local pub with cider on tap. The staff were very lovely; there were only 2 working front of house and they did their best to take care of everyone.
The strongbow tasted a bit watery, but all the food we had was great! (Pretzel bites, burger, fish & chips). Definitely a bit more American bar food in its style, but well prepared.
Will definitely be back soon!

Not as British as the name might suggest. There are a few British dishes including, Shepard’s pie, bangers and mash and fish and chips. This is more of a sports bar with many TVs a nice bar and outdoor seating. Nice atmosphere, but overall not outstanding enough for a 5 star rating.

I stumbled upon this pub as I was on my way to the farmers market nearby. I saw the reviews, which sounded great.
I ordered the house Bloody Mary, which was one of the better ones I have had. It was the perfect amount of spice, and very flavorful. For my entree, I chose the fish and chips. The plate came with 2 massive pieces of cod, fries, cole slaw, and some nice, tangy tartar sauce.
The fish was awesome. The fish-to-breading ratio was perfect. The breading was light and crispy with a satisfying crunch. Almost that of a tempura. The fries were lightly seasoned and, of course incredible after I added the malt vinegar. The Fish and Chips, I highly recommend.
Lastly, I just wanted to say our server Aurelia was so welcoming and fun to talk to. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks so much for a great meal and service!

The pub is truly a great place to relax and the food is definitely good. My visit however was less than pleasant. Derek wasnt the best as a server as there were multiple interactions where he appeared irritated with us and the interruptions while trying to order. Overall, it made the evening sour especially when leaving my card on another table while he took minutes to serve another party. As long as I dont have him as a server again, I can come back.
