Average cost of $17 a sandwich with one side. Good experience and lots of sauce variety for additional flavouring. Limited amount of seats in and out of the establishment. Not a place for large groups to eat in. Probably will need to takeout instead. Straight to the point service and quality food. The brussel sprout side..I recommend. A good spot to go to for a quick bite.

We found the Hog while in Chesterfield shopping. We came up to St Louis to watch a soccer game and really wanted some BBQ. This eatery is tucked away in a weird spot but when walked in we were greeted with plenty of smiles and the staff was very helpful. We both got sandwiches, I got the rib and wife got the pulled pork. The hoagies were huge and we immediately had staff cut them in half so we could eat that later. We could of split one easily. The meats were perfectly prepared and very tasty. I really like that they have the old fashioned drinks. My Mac and Cheese was so creamy. Just the way I like it. Unfortunately my wife’s potato salad left something to be desired. It was very watery. It is a bit pricey but with the amount of meat they give you, chef said it’s about a half a pound, you’re gonna get two meals out of it unless you’re really hungry. Definitely worth a stop.

Ill start with the service. The guys were nice and helpful. No complaints there. The atmosphere was alright. Chairs are a little whack but not a big deal. The kicker here is that the food was lackluster. It was 98 dollars for 3 guys to have lunch and an appetizer. I got the brisket sandwich. It was good but for the price I don’t think it was worth it in my opinion. The fries were great though. The appetizers was a fried corn style dish. It had good flavor but for the price again it was very lackluster. They were out of ribs(what they are known for) on a Saturday at 2 so they must have been busy the day before I assume.
To summarize I don’t think you shouldn’t give this place a try. I just think for the price the quality is just not there. It was a disappointment in all honesty. The staff was great but the food was below average for what I would expect for a BBQ place. However, the redemption was fries and the flavor of the brisket and BBQ sauces.

I was in the mood for a Reuben and figured I’d give the Smokey Reubensen a try. Tastewise, it was delicious. The texture, however, was a miss for me. The corned beef was sliced too thick and it was really tough. It was moist, but very tough. The potato salad was tasty.
All in all, a decent experience but I’d probably call the sandwich a miss going forward.

The sandwiches are loaded with meat, the side options are unique compared to the other bbq places we’ve visited, and the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. They sold us on coming back for burger week!

We just passed by Chesterfield on our way home and decided to try this place because of their high rating. True enough the food is superb! We got the ribs, pulled pork, and the brisket sandwich. Everything was so delicious up to the sides. The portions were huge that we even have to bring the rest home. Aside from that the cashier/server was friendly ang accommodating. We’ll surely go back. Highly recommended place! 🙂

What a fantastic choice for a quick bite near Spirit. Easily some of the best BBQ I’ve had in years. The owner was generous and professional, and I have no doubt I’ll be back on my next quick stopover.
Their meat is so perfectly seasoned and cooked; everything is fork tender. By the end I stopped using their sauce, which is by no means a diss to their sweet and hot mixes, they were delectable. It’s just that I wanted to pay full attention to the meat itself, which in my experience at least, has no competition.

Wow
Juiciest brisket I have ever had, hands down.
Perfectly paired with a peppery bianca sauce, the white wall sandwich is the perfect sloppy vessel to house these strips of greatness. The ribs, too, are pretty good – glazed in a little sweet sauce, they come off the bone pretty easily. Not the greatest I’ve ever had, but pretty good.
I myself didn’t really care for their brussel sprouts, as they were covered with really sharp cheese, but the potato salad I did enjoy. ( I typically hate potato salad)
The Cole slaw has a vinegary kick and isn’t just a barrage of sugar, too, which is nice.
In conclusion, GET THE BRISKET SANDWICH.

Take a look at this beautiful display of meat and cheese. I’ll have you know that I also bought both sauces, BBQ and the Spicy BBQ. I traveled all the way from south city to get here, and that’s about 30+ minutes. Worth. 10/10 would eat again/will eat again.

Soooo good! We both had pulled pork, so I can’t rave about the other meats. The Mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy. The bbq beans were heavenly and the Brussels sprouts were out of this world!
