Great place to eat after a game! We love the atmosphere, it’s really nice that they have such a big area to sit outside. Food is good, drinks are really good. The only downside is one time we came and food was not available, they had a crazy busy day and shut down the kitchen at 5pm. Kinda stinks when you’ve brought a whole baseball team post game, but besides that one time, we’ve always had a great experience!

The Standard went above and beyond to make a Celebration of Life an incredible event. I was looking for a place that was casual, did not require decorations, held a good sized crowd, catered great food with a bar, a stage, and TV’s for a video and still pics. It was perfect! The managers Paul and Trae were extremely helpful and very friendly. I highly recommend The Standard for your events!

The Standard in Norman is a great spot for good food, good beer, and gathering with a group. The food was solid across the board, and the pimento cheese on the burger was a standout. It added just the right amount of flavor and richness and is absolutely worth ordering.

Their microbrew selection is impressive, with a wide variety of local and craft options. A big plus is that they offer generous samples before you commit, which makes it easy to try something new and find the right fit.

We met here for a family reunion, and the space worked really well for both adults and kids. There is plenty of room to spread out, and the outdoor area was especially nice. Even on a chilly evening, it gave the kids space to run around and burn off late-night energy while the adults relaxed. Overall, it is a versatile, family-friendly spot with good food, great beer options, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Had a regular cheeseburger and that’s exactly what it was. Just regular. No pickles, onions, or anything else. It was pretty lacking of any flavor. The fries that came with it were pretty good. I’ll leave my food stars at five and let the 3rd time be the deciding vote.

We had a great time playing trivia. It helps when you get 1st place! The trivia host was lots of fun and we loved her personality.

This is my favorite bar in Norman. They have a great NA beer selection. The food is great and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the burger, the pretzels, queso, and the chicken tenders. It’s a raucous place on some nights and afternoons. However, it’s a great gathering place and I would definitely put it on a list of places to show up at in Norman.

Had seen this place several times while driving by and decided to give it a try. My first impressions from the walk in the parking lot was it looks new and is very nicely done. Inside it looks like an industrial building converted to a restaurant and huge indoor seating area. Ordered an Okie-style onion burger with a side of mac&cheese. Order came out in short time. Burger was cooked perfectly. The grilled onions, cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes were done right and this was a very good burger. The mac&cheese was creamy with a white cheese that complimented the burger. The interior was clean and very relaxing with big screen TVs on the walls. They also have outdoor seating in an equally nice and well maintained space. Was surprised how nice this place is and the have modern music playing in the background both indoors and outside.

Neat place, very spacious. I ordered an onion burger with fries. The onion burger was good but could have had more fried onions on it. The fries were ok but definitely room for improvement there. I also ordered the fried pickles, which were fabulous. My wife and daughter had chicken sliders, which they said were good. They have like 48 different ales. They have many big screen TV’s that had the football game on that I wanted to watch. They bring you your food when ready, but you have to get your own drinks. I didn’t really like that for the amount of tip they were asking for. You can select to do a custom tip, but the initial choices were 20%, 25%, or 30%, which in that case It would be nice to have the drinks brought to you instead of having to serve yourself.

This place is great for the whole family. 40+ taps, and a solid menu. The burgers are the best in my opinion. Indoor outdoor area to hang out and couches too. Other seating includes a bar top and huge cafeteria style benches.

TLDR: Food was meh, service was downright disrespectful.
We were out of town for a soccer tournament and popped in for lunch since it was close and had great reviews. Two adults, 4 kids, $130 after tip (you have to tip at the counter when ordering before you receive any service, then you also have to bus your own table…)
We get our number marker and go sit down. We were not told to stay and wait for our two drinks from the bar. So we went to fill our waters. Several minutes later we hear a woman yelling “someone left their drinks at the bar!” “Did someone order a beer and spritz?!” It was us, so I approached her to say it’s ours and sorry we didn’t know we needed to wait but she immediately cut me off and rudely said “if you leave your drinks, then idk where they go” loud enough that everyone turned to look at me which was humiliating. Then she stormed off. I sat back down shocked and we waited for our food. First came the green beans, good. Ranch was decent too. Then she brings everyone’s meals except mine, when she finds us and comes over. She slams my kid’s wings on the table and says oops… gets everyone their food and before I could ask about mine she rushes off. A few more minutes pass by and she comes back with my salad. This time setting it down but still no interaction, just rushes off. She never came back after that to check on us or the table.
To the food,
The $12 cheeseburger my husband ordered was about 3.5in wide… looked sadder than a kids meal.
The $22/doz garlic Parmesan wings came out hot and looked great. Unfortunately there was no flavor at all to them. The meat was cooked well and you could see the Parmesan coating but when you took a bite, no flavor at all. I didn’t believe the girls until I tried one myself. What a waste.
The two other kids got chicken tinders. Neither of the kids ate their tenders after the first bite. Not even with ketchup. They had fruit and fries. Which were fine. Nothing special. We didn’t even take them with us.
Finally my salad. I asked for an extra cup of dressing. Glad I did since both cups weren’t filled all the way. The chicken was grilled well and the salad was fresh and the dressing was tangy and good. More like a balsamic and not the classic champagne dressing I expected. Just watch your teeth on the pecans. They’re not picked clean enough and you’ll hurt a tooth on them.
Overall I don’t recommend this place at all. It looks like a cool spot. And maybe just for a beer would be a good hang it’s just not worth getting yelled at over.

This place is truly incredible! As far as Norman goes, this place is a One of One unique experience.

Weather you are coming for drinks or food, I promise that you will not be able to get enough.

Food wise, you have to get some chicken. I’d recommend the chicken tenders tossed in garlic parm or their wings with lemon pepper. But it’s impossible to go wrong with any of their sauces.

This place is massive so it is great to host any event or family gathering.

I will come here time and time again and it will never get old.

Also shoutout my waiter Marquie. She was amazing!!
