Relaxed restaurant turning out an array of sushi & hot Japanese plates in cozy quarters.

There are few authentic sushi spots, and even fewer we would call our favorites. We found The Spot Sushi thanks to Ana’s recommendation from our favorite brunch place. She is the best host and a server here at The Spot Sushi on Sundays. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a delicious experience or date night.
As for the rolls, my favorite is the Mountain Roll, and my wife’s the Cherry Blossom.
We’ve been many times and tried many amazing rolls. We also love that they don’t put add much rice, and have several options without rice.
If you come on a Sunday, say hi to Ana for us.

Very cozy neighborhood vibe and super fresh sashimi! I really enjoyed Crispyrice, soft shell crab, chicken katsu, and different types of sushi rolls. Will be back to try more!

My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight. The nigri had a nice and tender and generous portion of fish. My husband ordered the Happy Roll which was wrapped in cucumber. It’s a great low carb option and was delicious! I tried the spicy tuna and salmon rolls and both had lots of flavor and super fresh fish. We really enjoyed our sushi meal in a nice relaxing atmosphere.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! From the moment we walked in, we were shown such hospitality from the staff. The restaurant itself is not super big, but the ambiance is great!
More important is the quality of the food. The sushi here is some of the best we’ve had in Atlanta. The nigiri was super fresh and delicious and the cuts were really big!! We got the following Nigiri: Yellowtail, White Tuna, Salmon, Striped Bass, Mackerel, Eel, Baby Yellowtail, and Toro. As a frequent and avid sushi eater, I was highly impressed with the quality. We also got 3 rolls (Baked Mussel, Picasso, and Spider King 25)- highly recommend and of these, but I especially loved how fresh the Picasso was!
Can’t recommend this place enough!

A fairly small restaurant with a friendly waitress and cook. We got a couple of sushi rolls which all tasted pretty good yet were smaller than I’m used to having even in Asia. Prices are alright as I know it takes a bit to prepare but it definitely is on the higher end especially if you order more than 1 roll.

I love coming here for their sushi. Fish are always fresh with reasonable pricing. My favorite of all times here are their spicy rolls. I’m very particular about my spicy rolls; there are not that many places that know how to make these traditional rolls right. My order for spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, and spicy yellow tail roll were on the point and tasted amazing!

Order uber eats from here. I only leave a review if I had a good experience, I don’t like to mess with peoples businesses and opinions are subjective. But let me tell you the objective side. Three goyza came in our order, the fried jalapeño roll had only three pieces and the shrimp tempura roll was laughably small. I’m not sure how they cut it so small. I’ve included a photo. For reference I’m 4’11” and have tiny hands, please note the size of the role next to the wasabi dollops. $14 for the shrimp tempura roll and honestly it was like 4 regular pieces in size. I feel so ripped off because their photos don’t represent what you actually get. Also the shrimp was so small like you can’t taste anything when the roll is that small. Nothing tasted bad, it was more of a rip off. $14 for shrimp tempura roll, $5 for three little goyza and $16 for three pieces of the j bomb roll when the photo has four pieces and does not represent what they had online. Like I said see photos attached.

Small sushi shop located shortly after you make it into Alpharetta from Peachtree Corners. Very unassuming spot in the corner that I didn’t expect.
The place is really small inside but really the perfect size for a nice sushi place. However, the time I went made it feel like one group could easily ruin this place.
Despite that, the workers did a great job dealing with a really unruly group. Despite them taking longer than normal, they did a great job getting stuff out and tending to everyone in the restaurant, which was me and the unruly group.
Now, the food itself was really good, and I love the diverse platting of the dishes. Definitely be prepared to spend some money if you like great sushi cuz they have some great variety, but they have affordable rolls, too so it’s good either way.
They’re definitely worth going to again. Give them a try. They’re great!

NOTE: My previous review was for Sushi Uchi. I don’t know if it has new owners, but we haven’t tried “The Spot” yet. We will soon and I’ll update my review. Below is my OLD review.
We LOVED Sushi Uchi. Most of the time we did pickup, but eating at the restaurant was the best. It’s small, but the tables are well spaced. The employees were always so nice and often recognized us. The fish tasted fresh. They had a good selection sake, including premium and unfiltered varieties. My favorite thing in the whole menu was the Yellowtail Heaven.

We were craving sushi and wanted to go to a place outside of our Gwinnett, BuHi or downtown areas. Great reviews brought us here and we were not disappointed. The place we packed and we luckily didn’t have to wait too long. Service was good even thought a single waitress pretty much took care of the entire restaurant. Kudos on her great service. Food was great and we will definitely be back.
