I stopped by The Spot food truck in Detroit and ordered the chicken turbo tacos, and they were easily some of the best tacos I have had in the city. The chicken was incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with bold, well balanced seasoning that had just the right kick. Every bite was loaded with flavor. The tortillas were fresh and soft, holding everything together perfectly, and the toppings added a great mix of crunch and freshness that complemented the chicken without overpowering it.
You can really taste the quality in the ingredients. Everything was made fresh and served hot right from the truck. The portion sizes were generous and the value for the price was excellent, especially considering how filling and satisfying the tacos were. It is not always easy to find tacos in Detroit that deliver on flavor, freshness, and portion size all at once, but The Spot food truck absolutely does.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient, and they made the whole experience smooth from ordering to pickup. Even though it is a food truck, the setup was clean, organized, and professional.
If you are in Detroit and looking for amazing chicken tacos from a local food truck, The Spot is a must visit. The chicken turbo tacos alone are worth tracking them down. I will definitely be back and highly recommend The Spot to anyone craving bold, flavorful tacos in Detroit.

I ordered the Carne Asada Quesadilla, and it was delicious! Tortilla had a nice crust, perfectly crisp but not burnt. Flavors were on point, meat juicy, and cheese extra melty. Everything was fresh and made to order. I would definitely eat here again if I’m ever in the area.

I called and placed the order over the phone. They told me 20 minutes. I got there in 25 minutes and still had to wait another 30 minutes for my order. I ordered Ramen Barria , which was not cooked all the way, and still in the piece of the Ramen noodles they broke out of the pack. I ordered loaded chicken fries, which they gave me a couple of pre-cooked pieces of breaded chicken chunks on top of some cold fries and threw some sauce and Doritos over it ! and let’s not get started with the chicken tacos.!!!! Over the phone , the man told me they were Birria and even told me they come with sauce, which I asked and he confirmed. Well, I get the chicken tacos and they were not Birria. They were some pre-cooked breaded chicken pieces on a hard burnt taco shell with some cheese and there were barely any meat on them! Just shell and cheese! literally three little baby chicken pieces , cut up chunks on the whole taco. $30 in food and it was trash but to be fair. The guy at the window was nice lol. I decided to give this place a shot because it was my birthday and I just wanted something good to eat and I seen their post on social media. Sorry to say the food looked nothing at all like the pictures.

Pulled up to The Spot Truk late at night and was immediately greeted by friendly staff. The person taking my order was super helpful and actually recommended the Steak Turbo Tacos since they were out of the burger I originally wanted. Honestly? No regrets at all — those tacos really hit the spot.
You get three generously filled tacos, loaded with flavor. The steak was tender, the turbo sauce had just the right kick, and they even tossed in some Doritos, which added a great crunch and boosted the overall flavor. I didn’t even need the dipping sauce — that’s how good they were.
Best part? It’s all halal, and the quality shows. Super grateful for a spot like this that’s open late, has great vibes, and serves up unforgettable street food. Will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely terrible. Everything about it. Wait time was supposed to be 25 minutes. Turned into 50 minutes. Then when I got the food the tacos did not have the sauce or anything and were burnt. Ordered the burger with no doritos on it and guess what…. Still had doritos. Fries tasted freezer burnt and terrible as well. Overall I would never recommend.

food is literally AMAZING, I drive 30 minutes sometimes twice a week for their turbo tacos so yum. Service is also great, just got free food the other day just for being a regular Owners really a great guy. They also do drive up during this cold weather which is so nice! Excited for their new location!

First off I’ll say the customer service wasn’t bad. They were polite even with it being crowded and late at night. The birria tacos I ordered had little to no beef on them. It was disappointing because I had high hopes for the food. I agree with another review saying “it’s not real birria meat”. It did lack flavor but overall was good. The loaded steak fries (the same meat in the birria so not sure we could actually call them steak fries) were the highlight. I suggest also letting customers know when ordering you’re out of condiments that come with a meal instead of letting them figure it out after they’ve already left. This place has potential. Hope to see it do better.
