I love stopping for the buffet, and ordering for take out. Great food, buffet is a great price and the menu/take-out is measured in Pints and Liters, so you know how much food you’re getting.

While visiting Craig, CO we went for the Grand Opening at $8.99 each for the buffet. Two negatives, the food was only luke warm and the staff watched you like a hawk. We had small egg rolls which were just OK, dry dumplings, mushroom chicken was excellent, fried rice and lo main had no taste, chicken on a stick was tender, shrimp was impossible to peal and rest was tasty. They also had a separate section with salad & dressings, choc pudding, jello and serve yourself hard ice cream which we got to go on a cone. They wanted $1.99 for hot tea which usually comes with a buffet. The place was very clean and spacious. Food was well maintained. Some of the staff had a hard time understanding us. There is another Asian restaurant near City Market Supermarket but the menu is small, same price and looked not as clean.

Wow I must say I was so impressed by this restaurant. I was expecting a low quality hole in the way place but I was wrong. The food is fresh and tasty. Plus the servings are huge. I honestly got so much sesame chicken got 10 bucks that it didn’t seem fair. I am not one to give out 5 star ratings but this place deserves it.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness! We ordered General Tso’s Chicken, Combo LoMein and Mushroom Chicken with Hot and Sour soup. The soup was pretty spicy. All was so tasty. We had fabulous service and were well taken care of. Thank you! We will be back. They have an allergy section on the menu with 5 or so options.

We get take-out orders here and they are very reasonably priced. They have good wonton soup and make any dish to your spice preference. I usually get extra spicy and they use a good amount of jalapenos for my taste.

We spent one night in Craig and fell in love with Spicy Basil! I eat gluten free and waa thrilled to enjoy their curry! The chicken green curry was spicier than I expected and it was delicious! The owner was very gracious and attentive. Food was prepared quickly and my (gluten eating) husband was sad he missed their Chinese lunch buffet. Needless to say, he loved their lunch buffet the next day! My gluten free daughter had pad Thai and I really enjoyed their red curry. I highly recommend Spicy Basil and wish it was in our neighborhood!

The food was decent but I didn’t feel very welcomed when I went in with my family, including my fiance who was visiting from The Netherlands. I have a bad history with the old Galaxy before it shut down because their food gave me headaches and I wasn’t too excited about going into The Spicy Basil to say the least but I was pretty much outvoted by my family. The waiter didn’t seem too excited about having customers and I already felt uncomfortable. I went with the safe option of ordering the fried wings when we sat down and the waiter immediately said “Why did you come to Chinese?” My mother started joking about it in order to defuse the situation but I was not laughing. I have anxiety issues and Autism and comments like that put me in a bad spot mentally, like I was being made fun of for ordering something unexpected off the menu. The unprofessional comment left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I would not return of my own choice. Even The Galaxy did a better job of making me feel welcomed despite what I may order.

One of the better options in Craig. They push the buffet, but recommend ordering from the menu. Green curry was very good, as was the drunken noodles. Otherwise, what you would expect from a small town Asian cuisine restaurant.

Not enough variety on buffet and a few of the pans were empty and it was only a little after 12. We were there for 45 minutes and it was never restocked. Pretty disappointed and probably won’t be back. The waitress was very nice, but two other employees were rude and snobish.
