The best seafood boil I’ve found here in Phoenix that is just like one of my favorites in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico called Shrimp N Beer. I got the half pound seafood boil with the shrimp, snowcrab legs, and crawfish with the house special seasoning as that is the most popular. It was so delicious that after I ate everything I was scooping the sauce and eating it! The sauce is delicious that is what makes it so good

With the current attention towards seafood boils brought on by a certain lobster chain, my family decided on coming here. Our choice was made because the lobster chain was inconsistent and lacking in ingredients for a proper boil. The Spice Sea was everything we hoped for. We got to the restaurant as soon as it opened. We each ordered a pound of headless shrimp, red skinned potatoes, corn, sausages, and their house seasoning. Their seasoning was available from mild to higher temperature flavors. We were quickly attended to, and our orders were served quickly, and the bags were very hot. The boil had a beautiful color and reminiscent of what a genuine seafood boil should look like. The taste of each shrimp was incredible. Cooked to perfection. The corn was sweet and flavorful. The red skinned potatoes were larger than expected and went well with the seasoning. The addition of sausages was a must and enhanced an already savory meal. Drinks were generously refilled, and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere and music only enhanced the experience. It was our first time here and certainly not our last. We wanted a meal with great value, taste, and atmosphere. The Spice Sea delivered above and beyond and well worth the drive.

The Spice Sea blew me away! The flavor of their seafood boil is absolutely top-notch, honestly, the best I’ve had next to LA Crab. Everything was seasoned perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and richness in the sauce. You can really taste the freshness and quality of the seafood.

First time here. Saw a review on social media. When we walked I. We all smiled because you could smell the garlic and other spices that said, yes we are cooking here. We were seated immediately. Our server was very nice and helpful. The food came quickly, and it was hot. The food comes in bags filled with the seafood choices you made and the sauce you selected. We got the house which is a mild sauce. Next time I’m trying the medium heat. I’m not putting down the mild. It was very flavorful with lots of garlic. I like a little more heat. The seafood was cooked perfectly, and yes it was fresh. We got head on shrimp, muscles, snow crab legs, sausage, and corn on the cob. My grandson got 2lbs of crawfish. These were the largest crawfish we’ve seen, and cooked perfectly. Thank goodness they give you bibs and gloves. This is a messy, hands on style of eating. I highly recommend trying The Spice Sea.

I’m an out of town visitor that eats at these types of restaurants often, but I rarely write reviews. My thoughts: Very clean restaurant and restroom. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Delicious crab/seafood boil. Food was steaming hot. Right-sized portions for the price. I left quite satisfied and would 100% eat here again.

So, if you live in the area and haven’t been here yet, you are depriving yourself. Seating inside and out. Spice levels at your choice that will have you sweat’n if that’s what your looking for. Will not disappoint, on flavor and heat. We had a couple of seafood boils some seafood fried rice, chicken nuggets, and two different kinds of fish(cod and catfish). Absolutely nothing disappointed! Oh yeah, as a side note, my son-in-law and I shared a beer tower they offer that is phenomenal. Beer we chose was 1985 by Voodoo Ranger. Turned out about 3 pints each. Might’ve been more, but that’s what I recall. It is Voodoo Ranger after all.

The food was 10/10, was very excited to try this place my sister & daughter suggested. We’re originally from San Diego. This was way better than any place out there. The flavor was delicious. The garlic butter was to die for, the mild Cajun was not to spicy but had just enough flavor. The server she was so sweet she even brought out my daughter a piece of complementary cake for her birthday <3 very sweet of her! The only thing I would recommend the restaurant is to give the place little face lift, but other than that never judge a book by its cover. I would definitely recommend. We can’t wait to go back!
