We decided to give this place a try and we were impressed. There are not alot of good bbq places around Apopka so it’s nice to see that we do now. Great food, friendly staff and clean place. We tried the meat sampler, Diesel fries, mac and cheese and the corn bread. The meat was very tender and flavorful, not dry at all! Oh, the sweet tea was good as well! We will be back!

The place has great flavor — the brisket and ribs taste really good and you can tell the food is well prepared. However, there is a lack of organization when taking orders and bringing food to the table, which affects the overall experience. Also, the food arrived a bit cold, which was disappointing considering how good it tastes.
With better organization and attention to serving temperature, this place could be excellent.

I love the staff, how helpful and cordial they were.
Now the food, we all had a very hard time finding something that we would like to eat again. Even the protein were lacking factor. With the sides it feels like they try really hard to nail their own recipe and flavor – they try so hard that nothing end up tasting balance. Quick example, the corn bread. It seams hard to get it wrong, well, it’s so wet and sweet (honey?!) that we could not finish it. Anyways, hopefully it’s just us.

This establishment feels like you’re eating at one of your family’s house!! Its warm atmosphere is very clean, cozy & the staff is so sweet!!!! We come here often as a family because everything on the menu is delicious and fresh and you can tell it’s made with love! My personal favorite things to eat are the dry rubbed/smoked ribs,melt in your mouth brisket & omg the brussels sprouts!! their seasoned fries/chic nugs are great too, my kids love them! You gotta try their desserts, they’re the perfect ending to your full belly!! You’ll leave happy, satisfied & definitely become a regular customer like us!! This place is SUPERB, OUTSTANDING and SIMPLY DELICIOUS! We had the beef rib, brisket and chopped chicken today. Everything was absolutely delicious even our sides, MacNCheese, green beans and baked beans. That beef rib was all that (tenderism you better believe it). If you desire good BBQ in a comfy, warm setting please give Papa Diesels a visit. I promise you that you will love every minute of your dining experience! The food was ok and unique and it did feel like classic Southern. I also appreciate the great state of the bathroom. I had some qualms with the food, it seemed like wet dough on the ribs. Aside from some (maybe individual) issues with the food the experience is great.

Papa Diesel’s BBQ is hands down a 10/10! Everything was perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. You can tell they put real love into their food. If you’re in Apopka, this place is a must-try!

Normally I take a high rated place with a grain of salt as I dont trust people. So we went here expecting decent BBQ and we were so wrong. It was awesome. We ordered the sampler and it has a great variety of the offerings. The ribs were perfectly cooked and did not need any bbq sauce even though the sauce was tasty as hell. The brisket was so tender I literally cut it with my plastic fork. Honestly the only thing that was mediocre was the roll and the mac and cheese. I would definitely go back next time im in apopka.

They bring you the food, jaws on the floor! Looks amazing. Unfortunately I ate my order of sliced brisket so fast no picture sorry! Mac and cheese was FANTASTIC, green beans amazing, my husbands beef rib was out of this world delish.
We will be back! Go try it!
