New to the area and quite glad I didn’t read these most recent reviews before ordering! Menu says new management. We had an excellent Chicken Tikka Dansak, Lamb Pasanda and the Saag Aloo (a personal fav but I can be quite picky about them) was personally exactly to my liking. Also delivery was quicker than expected. Will definitely order again. Very tasty meal. (haven’t rated atmosphere as we had delivery)

Second visit to the fantastic Spice of India, a new arrival in North Berwick, travelling from Dunbar to experience their offerings again.
Greeted warmly by Akhtar, the food was prepared in a timely & above all tasty manner, portions of chicken pathia (highly recommend) along with mushroom rice, garlic naan & assorted sides.
A fantastic place, well worth dropping in should you be in the mood for a bit of spice.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Chicken is definitely frozen chicken. Think Gordon Ramsay needs to pay them a visit. Food was hour n half late. Usual from them. Soggy nan bread and burnt rice they don’t even have a number so u can call about ur order to complain. Would not order from here. Would hate to see the state of the place if they can’t afford to have a working number.

This place is closed!!! We ordered and paid online this evening at 1900 for a local delivery. No sign of the delivery by 2045, so we drove into town to find out what was going on. I’m now sitting in The Spice of India takeaway which is dealing with the order, having been passed from the Tiffin Box. (Apparently they are family friends). No comms whatsoever from the Tiffin Box. It seems that they are passing any online orders on to The Spice of India who are then cooking the order once their own customers have been dealt with. Absolute disgrace.

Came from Edinburgh,was craving for some desi food.I was amazed by the fact how they maintained our traditional taste while keeping in mind about the spice level of the local people.We had chicken tikka and nun,chicken tandoori.Each food item was awesome.The staffs were cordial as well.

Changed management in Summer 2025, now the people from Grace of India run it. Just only look at the recent reviews, ignore the older ones. We love what we are getting, my favourite is the Lamb Achari.

Was desperate for a good Indian takeaway,was a bit disappointed if I’m honest, vegetable pakora was a bit dry, chicken pakora was average and chicken tikka starter was very spicy,may go back and try something else.

When food got delivered it was stone cold.
I got the tiffin box and asked for korma and masala but got korma and no masala didn’t get spring chicken or mixed veg either.
Will not be ordering here again.
Chicken was chewy that was in korma
And when I tried to contact the restaurant there was no answer called multiple times to speak about the missing items and about the food not being edible and stale Cold was hardly even able to cut into chicken in the korma little on it being flavourless.
