I have worked walking distance to this place for 8 years and have never tried it out. Shame on me! It was SO good! I met my friend here on a Monday. We had no trouble getting a table and we had an AMAZING and informative server, Eldon. We had a ton of questions about the menu and he gave us some great suggestions. I ordered two cocktails and both were good. The pork bao buns and the eggplant with spicy garlic sauce were my favorite items we ordered, but honestly, it was all good. I want to go back and try other dishes! We also had great service from Robert and Kelvin. Eldon was super helpful with whether or not I could handle the spice level of certain dishes.

Another delicious experience at the Sparrow in Midtown ATL. All the plates we tried were amazing in flavor (perfect level of spice, too) – green beans, fried eggplant, crispy beef and mushroom skewers were my standouts. Cocktails were distinctly unique and refreshing too. Staff took such good care of us too – thank you Kelvin, Cody and Angelina for an awesome night out. Definitely recommend!!

Walked in on a busy Wednesday night & got seated in 5 minutes with no reservations. Started with the szechuan chili wontons, xi hu beef soup, spring rolls, & egg drop soup. I was expecting the beef soup to be tomato based, not egg drop with some character. Still pretty good. The chili wontons were not spicy and it was more like a broth. My wife had the lemon bang bang shrimp and loved it! I had the mapo tofu with beef and I never had one with onions & green peppers in it. The tofu was silky, the sauce more savory but less spicy. I prefer more spice but I still enjoyed it. My wife had the dan dan noodles and found them flavorless. We did combine the szechuan broth from the wontons with the dan dan noodles and that was a delicious choice. The crispy numbing beef was phenomenal! Atmosphere is sophisticated yet approachable. Wonderful place for a date night.

As authentic Asian foodie, visiting with a group of Asians from all over the world (Hong Kong, Korea, Burma, Canada), we absolutely love the food here. Top notch service by Cody. Ambiance is nice with beautiful decor. Highly recommend the Peking duck. One of the best spots in Atlanta!

This place is a hidden gem. The service was attentive and prompt, especially Cody who was fantastic. The food was hearty, well seasoned, full of flavor — and the portion sizes were more than generous. If you’re looking for a new spot for Szechuan cuisine look no further. 10 out of 10!

Great date night at The Sparrow! Food was delicious and arrived well on time (would highly recommend the lemon shrimp). Price was reasonable and atmosphere was cozy. Our server Cody was also very friendly and made an amazing Pumpkin Spice cocktail! Would definitely recommend!

I just visited this restaurant earlier this week, and have been in three times since my first visit!! The Food is Delicious, service fantastic (Natalie, Cody, Kelvin and the Manager Angelina are the Best!!). This family owned spot has gotten it all right, fantastic food, wonderful welcoming servers in the heart of Midtown on W. Peachtree. Don’t miss Happy Hour either!! So glad I found this gem in my neighborhood!!!

We had an incredible dinner at The Sparrow in Midtown and honestly can’t stop thinking about it. First off, Raquel was our server and she was amazing—super friendly, helpful, and made us feel totally taken care of without ever being overbearing.
We ordered a ton of food and loved everything. The Peking duck was the star—crispy, flavorful, and carved perfectly. The ribs were insanely tender, and the Golden Mountain chicken had this sweet-savory glaze that was just addictive. The hot and sour soup was rich and comforting, the soup buns had that perfect burst of broth, and the pan-fried dumplings were crispy on the bottom and so satisfying. The salt and pepper squid was light, crunchy, and gone way too fast.
We also tried several of their cocktails—each one was creative, well-balanced, and just really fun. It’s clear they put real thought into the drinks as much as the food.
Overall, it was just one of those dinners where everything clicked—great atmosphere, awesome service, and fantastic food. Can’t wait to go back.

Excellent food but very inconsistent service. Didn’t see our server for long stretches. I’d probably come back and try a different server because the food really was quite nice.

Disappointing experience. Extremely overpriced for the quality. The sauce on the fried skewers was unbearably salty. The Peking duck was another letdown, the meat was dry and tough. To make matters worse, they charged us for chicken skewers that never even arrived at our table. We had to pay for food we didn’t eat. Overall, the value for money is non-existent. Save your cash and go somewhere else.
