Thought the sandwich was pretty good. Solid and satisfying. But the real highlight for me was the fries. They were super crispy with a really nice peppery seasoning that made them hard to stop eating. Honestly, I ended up enjoying the fries even more than the sandwich. If you go, I definitely recommend getting the fries. They were delicious.

I go to the social spoon often. I discovered it when I first moved to sport land and spent a month at the Courtyard Center City. The restaurant has a great vibe, but the real selling point is the team who staffs the place. I go in the mornings and Christopher, the morning man on shift, is one of the most professional, welcoming, and honestly kind people I’ve ever encountered in the service industry. He always makes me smile and remembers what I like without being told or having to ask. Not because I’m anyone special. Just because that’s the kind of man he is. It’s really a special place, whether you’re a Portland local or a traveler. It’s a special place, and a lot of that is because of him.

What the… ?! OK, walked in just now at 10:10am, sat at the bar since I was alone. 1 lady working there was making a drink, avoiding eye contact. A busser came out with clean glasses, and then an actual server came out, made herself a drink and… left, then came back and asked a guy who came in 5 minutes after me what he wanted. There was a crowd waiting at that point. Again, wha…? What did I do wrong? I felt like I missed the secret handshake. Certainly felt unwelcome.

We came here over the weekend because we saw that they were doing Sippin Santa. The decor was so fun and truly social worthy.

Atrocious service. Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our cocktails and it wasn’t even complete with the garnishes. Water bins were all empty so we couldn’t poir ourselves any. No water was given when we asked for it either. The kitchen ran out of fries and onion rings. Some influencers touted this place so we decided to try it and it was a huge miss.

I keep getting tricked into going here for the Portland food weeks, and I always leave disappointed.
The food is always just a tad underseasoned. And the layout of the restaurant doesn’t make a ton of sense. Especially with the foosball table and air hockey tables.
Also that energy 1% charge they add to the bill is such B.S.
If my bill is $30, and I get hit with a $0.30 energy charge, and I tip 20%, I’m still leaving a total of $36. That 30 cents is just being taken away from the server. The business isn’t actually charging more/paying more like the spirit of the policy was intending, the business is just hurting their own staff by opting into this program.

We’ve stayed at the hotel numerous times, and always enjoy eating at the attached restaurant, The Social Spoon. Christopher, the bartender/lead waiter/entertainer, is awesome, and we make a point of going in to see him for breakfast.

The bartenders I met during my stay at the hotel above were lovely and accommodating, I quite enjoyed speaking with them, was one of the highlights of my stay downtown. I will stay at that hotel again specifically due to how good the customer service was at the bar

Still Five Stars, they have the most wonderful bartenders and kitchen staff! Christopher was an absolute treat to speak with! Such a nice guy, and makes fantastic drinks. Joe also makes an excellent Lemon Drop. Aiden from the kitchen was also very friendly as well, the type of guy I’d love to be friends with. This place is just awesome, and is part of the appeal of the Hotel for me, I’ve been back twice and I will definitely be back again!
