Stopped here on vacation with no big expectations but boy were we surprised. The restaurant is decorated old west saloon.
Nice sized portions and the chicken tenders are the best I have ever had. Sweet potato waffle fries dusted with cinnamon sugar were delicious. This is part of a really nice KOA campground and there is a wonderful playground area to let the kids stretch their legs that is old west themed as well. Also on site is a putt putt course and an icecream parlor.

I had been here a couple of years ago for lunch with a couple of friends after a hike at Beall Woods State Park. As I remember the food was ok, they weren’t real busy that day. This evening my husband and I stopped here for supper after being out and about. My husband ordered beef brisket, baked potato and a side salad. I ordered pulled pork dinner, baked potato and a side salad. We got our main entree first and had to ask for our side salad. We ate our main course first, before it got colder. The meat for both of us was not even lukewarm, our baked potatoes were a little warmer but they didn’t look too fresh, they were turning brown. We decided to stop here because of the good reviews we read on their website. The portions were good sized, the flavor was good, but it was cold. We like our food hot and we like our salads first before the main course. We asked for to go boxes for our salads and texas toast. We told them they may want to check their warming tables or whatever as it didn’t seem it was keeping items warm. Our total bill was $40.31 and we both had water to drink. We will not be back because of our experience. I don’t serve our meals cold at home.

The waitress we had seemed to have a bit of an attitude the longer we were there. I’m not exactly sure why this is because we were all very pleasant with her. I do have my assumptions, and I’ll leave that to your imagination.
Aside from all of that, the meals were great! Some of the best crab legs I’ve had. The smoked pork chop was a bit on the dry side, but the flavor was good. The taco flight was delicious, and don’t even get me started on that smoked chicken quarter. The sides were all very good as well, but the mac and cheese could use some work, in my opinion.
Overall, it was a decent dining experience, and I would absolutely revisit this place.
Edit: much better and much friendlier staff this go around. She was extremely nice and very attentive. The crab legs are still amazing!!!!

I had lunch here for the 1st time and I was blown away. The bbq pork rind appetizer was amazing. The pork rinds were crackling as I ate it, which was a real delight. The brisket was flavorful and tender. Service was great. Emily did a wonderful job. I highly highly recommend this place!

They catered our Christmas party over the weekend and the food was fantastic. Both the brisket and the pork chops were tender, juicy and delicious. The sides were great as well. We will definitely make the drive to eat there.

I spent the afternoon here with my cousin and her family, whom I hadn’t seen for several years. It was a great comfortable place to visit and catch up. The pulled pork (I had) at the Smoking Pig was delicious! There was plenty of seating and the waitress was quick on our refills. Look forward to eating here again.

Hostess was nice. Server seemed like she was either having a bad day or just not very nice. Barbecue sauce was tasty, tangy and sweet Chicken tenders and barbecue chicken were good. Potato casserole was tasty but cold. Macaroni and cheese was cold and flavorless. Toast was cold and soggy. Fries were cold and tasted old like it had been under a heat lamp for a while. I politely asked for some fresh fries and the server got really mad. When she brought out “fresh fries” 20 minutes later they were a combination of old fries and new fries both of which tasted overcooked. After dropping off the fries she returned around 5 minutes later and said “Is that good enough for you?!” in a very hostile, snarky tone. I politely responded that it was fine as I didn’t want conflict.

Someone in our group picked out this spot, so I didn’t know what to expect when I looked it up. The food exceeded our expectations, and the staff were very kind and accommodating to our group. No one in our group ordered the same thing, but everyone said their food was delicious!!!

Great food and service. They were a little slow, but they were packed and everyone was running as hard as they good. Great experience overall. Food was great, drinks were good. Will definitely be back. Love the playground right outside. Kids can do their thing while the adults did our thing, and could still keep an eye on them. Great time!
