The owner and “Pit Master” of the Smoke‘N Pig BBQ. He founded the company in April of 2016 and began operations in May, 2016. Gabe brings 15 years of experience in the food industry to The Smoke’ N Pig BBQ and perfected his cooking and catering service while working at two of Lansing and East Lansing’s favorite restaurants. Gabe has always had a desire to own his own business, so in the spring of 2016, he decided to follow his dream and with the love and support of family and friends, The Smoke’ N Pig BBQ was born. Gabe has spent the last two years perfecting his secret BBQ rub which sets his ribs, rib tips and pulled pork apart from other BBQ establishments in the Lansing and surrounding area.

First of all this restaurant has the best ribs I’ve ever had. If you like smoky savory ribs do yourself a favor and get a rack or a half rack. You will not be disappointed.
Second, I want to call out the exemplary customer service from Bella. We walked in with my mother and Bella remembered my mother’s regular order of loaded fries to a T. Since my mother likes many alterations to her meal it was extremely impressive.
I’m always appreciative when people are kind to my mom. We could not have asked for better customer service.
I come to this restaurant at least once whenever I’m back to visit my mom. Sometimes we eat here twice!

First time trying. The pork and brisket were nicely smoked, but not over smoked, and tender. I believe the sides are “home made”, had mac-n-cheese, good, that seemed like a creamy velveeta sauce; and baked beans that me and my family all thought were very good and would for sure get again. Order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Nice and friendly staff. It seems to be a popular place.

Stopped in for the first time looking for some barbecue to go, and this place is a hidden gem. The food was outstanding, they have gluten free barbecue sauce so I was super excited! We got takeout and were blown away by the ribs. They were truly fall-off-the-bone—so tender that when we picked them up, the bones came out completely clean, and all the meat stayed on the plate. The portion was huge! My husband and I shared a full rack and still had enough left over for two more meals. Our son got the brisket sandwich and loaded fries, and he was just as impressed. He enjoyed every bite and had plenty left for lunch the next day. We’ll definitely be back!

Reminds me of school lunches if they where a little bit cooler. Service was fast but the food is pretty basic not what I was expecting but still pretty ok. It’s about 15$ per thing the tacos are not great I’d recommend anything else on the menu.

I was disappointed in the service and food. I had the two-piece chicken with sides. The meat here is really good. The coleslaw was runny with too much mayo. The Mac and Cheese had a funny taste. The young lady at the bar was carrying on a conversation with a customer. The staff was very nice, but not attentive. The drinks at the bar were good. They sell their own t-shirts that are awesome. I rate it a 3 1/2.

I was on the hunt for a new BBQ spot in the Lansing area and decided to give Smoke N’ Pig BBQ a try. For my first visit, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with mac & cheese and baked beans as my sides.
The pulled pork sandwich had a nice sweet and tangy flavor, though I personally prefer a saucier version to really bring out the richness of the meat. The mac & cheese tasted like the boxed variety, which was a bit of a letdown for me—probably something I wouldn’t order again. However, the baked beans were the real standout! Packed with peppers and meat, they had just the right balance of savory and hearty flavors that hit the spot.
I plan to come back and explore more of the menu to see if I can find a go-to favorite. Looking forward to giving it another shot!

Not bad bbq, I had the ribs. Half of the rib was burned on all three pieces. The half that wasn’t burned was very good. Maybe just an off day? I also had fries, green beans and cornbread. The sides were very good. Worth your time to stop if you are in the area, however don’t go out of your way.
