Jim Oliver‘s Smoke House has been owned and operated by the Oliver family since 1960. The patio grill is open every weekend, Friday and Saturday 11 AM till 9:30 PM and Sunday 11 AM until 4 PM. Live music is featured every Friday & Saturday from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM & Sunday noon to 4pm, featuring some of the best music artist from Nashville. No cover charge, family friendly, cozy, great music, candlelit tables, good cold beer/seltzers/cooler selection.

This place is awesome. Found it by accident while looking for some BBQ. Ended up hanging out for over an hour listening to the live music and chatting it up with locals on the patio. The vibe reminds me of something you’d find in Austin or Galveston back home in Texas, but with much better weather. (I was there in the middle of August. The temp was perfect.) Will definitely go back next time I get to pass through town.

Tried a few of their fried pies and not a single one disappointed.
Each flavor was absolutely delicious. We didn’t get them fresh out of the fryer—they seemed to have been made earlier in the day—but they still hit the spot. Would definitely recommend to try the pies and grab them warm!

Wonderful food and experience, live music was amazing. Paper plates so family friendly, HUGE portion sizes. Really cool environment too and so much outdoor seating and games outside. Family place.

I hate to say it but the food was horrible. There was no flavor whatsoever to the grilled chicken or the pulled pork. The grilled chicken was so dry it was rubbery. The grease in the bottom of the plate was disgusting. The Brussel sprouts had so much grease pooled in the bottom of the basket it was gross. They should be embarrassed about the food- advertising they are a smoke house but nothing was smoked. The baked beans tasted like they were straight out of a can. The cucumber salad was just some cut up cucumber, tomatoes and onions drenched in Italian dressing. Very disappointing. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. We will not eat here again.

Smoke House is a misnomer. There is nothing there that they smoke. Most of the food was something like Grandma would make, if your Grandma made everything from a can. Service was good, the kitschy atmosphere was ok, not worth stopping.

Service was absolutely phenomenal. Hamburger steak and deep fried Brussel sprouts were amazing. The pulled pork tasted as though it was boiled without any seasoning. The sausage tasted like a hot link like what you buy at the grocery store.

The smoker might have been broken when we were there. The pulled pork tasted like it was cooked in a crock pot, and the sausage did not taste smoked either.
The children’s cheeseburgers were fantastic. The atmosphere and the music were excellent.
The dishes, cutlery, and cups were all disposable.

Greeted out side and greeted inside. We were allowed to stay ourselves. Waiter dude stopped by with menus and grabbed us cold drinks. Food was cold and hot accordingly (you know, cold salads & hot bbq). We were checked on many times. Enjoyed the live music by a few different artists. We will definitely recommend and go out of our way to come back next road trip! Groovy place!
